Where was it? I picked him to win and he shouldve won. Pascal isnot a good fighter to me but Dawson looked slow and terrible. Pascal owned him.
Where is is warriors spirit? Dawson didnt look like he wanted to fight.

Dawson's lack of drive cost him this fight late on. He started hurting Pascal a one or tow before, and Pascal was ripe for the taking in the eleventh. He refused to follow up all night.
Pascal was fine. Chad had thrown his combinations, and wasn't going to follow up any time soon. Pascal had his sense back, and was pushing the pace again. He took the best punch Chad had to offer. Lets be real, If that uppercut didn't drop Pascal, and Chad couldn't finish him off after that, there really isn't anything Chad could have done to put him away.
Pascal has a pretty damn good chin. I don't think he was nearly as hurt as HBO was leading people to believe in other points in the fight. Most of it was Chad beating on his gloves.
It came out in the 11th... You know, when he was pounding Pascal and had him reeling from rope to rope and hurt...
The way the fight had been going, I didn't expect Dawson to come out like that in the 11th... With that, he showed me that he has a sense of urgency and a Championship heart. I don't give a sh!t whether you guys saw it or not; hopefully he did though.

fighting fighter with no mobility/ come forward fighter. chad dont like to lead he want to be the one on the backfoot.
Part of the problem was that Pascal's lead foot was outside of Dawson's.
Whenever Dawson did decided to throw, Pascal could just skip away or turn Dawson. He wasn't allowed to set.
That is what I said on the last page. Dawson looked terrible because he could not control the range. it was Pascal controlling the range.
LOLOOLOL....dude, me too. I was upon my feet screaming: "Dawson, what the f**k are yo doing, engage this guy, come on and throw some damn punches"
I hear you, bud. My string of speech was more like ****************************************************************. ****! I'm not taking anything away from Pascal, but if Dawson would have let his hands go more, I don't see Pascal walking away with the victory. I know, pretty obvious, but it's that fu.cking simple.

Dawson has never shown any fire of any kind. Hes never done deep to pull out a win, and he isn't that smart.
Short of a KO, Dawson will never beat Pascal. He just doesn't have the mental capacity to out think the man, which is what will be required of him.
You want to know what happened in the fight? Well Dawson is the taller guy with the longer reach, but could not control the range. Pascal was cagey enough to pick his spots and engage when he wanted to.
It was Pascal's legs that bothered Chad more than anything. He never got a chance to find a rhythm. That is the reason Dawson looked terrible. His inability to throw punches was because Pascal would not let him get set.

The fire is only active vs elderly opponents.
His fire wasn't there tonight, but he wasn't owned,Pascal was out on his feet!!Bad Chad just let the fight slip away!!Better yet Pascal didn't beat Dawson,Dawson beat himself!!
Thats how i feel pascal didnt do anything to limit dawson..dawson just didnt throw enough
Dawson simply didn't fight smart. It's not his nature to fight aggressively, but he was most effective when he pressed the action, got in Pascal's face and threw combinations. Pascal was simply covering up and not looking to counter, but Dawson didn't realize that was clearly his most effective method of attack until it was too late.
Props to Pascal for capitalizing on opportunities and inflicting damage with his flurries, but Dawson lost that fight more than Pascal won it, IMO. There is no excuse for failing to realize coming into tonight that he needed to flash more of an active workrate than ever before since he was fighting in Pascal's hometown and he's not a KO artist by any means.
Hopefully Dawson learns his lesson and becomes a more offensive-minded fighter.
Exactly my man................good post on the ordeal...my sentiments as well

I'm mad. He fights like a giant but he isn't that tall. Seriously. He has some explosiveness as we saw in the 11th but he chooses not to use it. He paid the price.
Hat's off to Pascal. But I was literally yelling at my T.V. tonight in frustration with Dawson. Who know's if the butt hadn't happaned, Dawson might have stopped Pascal. But it is what is. Hopefully the rematch happens sooner, then later.

Dawson let this fight go right through his hands..i was so pissed at him. What was he thinking? A boxer is suppossed to have "killer instinct" but Chad either has none of that or was bought off or drugged. When he opened up, he had Pascal almost dropped within a few seconds...something was off in this fight big time...very dissappointed in him.
I could care less what others think...Calzaghe woould mop the floor with all the super middles and light heavies......I wish dude was younger and still fighting, I miss that killer, go for it all....winning mentality that he had...
