Anyway, you asked for my “bottom line,” so I’ll give it to you: Yes, I do think King and Mayweather will eventually unite.
It makes sense given Mayweather’s history. Floyd fled Top Rank in mid-2006 when Arum kept pushing the Antonio Margarito fight. Now he appears ready to bolt from Golden Boy once Schaefer and company got serious about making the Pacquiao fight.
Why would Mayweather go to King as opposed to Gary Shaw, Lou DiBella, Kathy Duva, or even getting his own company licensed? The answer is simple. Mayweather needs to have his ass kissed 24/7. He likes to be wined and dined and nobody does that better than King, who will lavish his potential victims, I mean clients, with expensive gifts (jewelry, cars, etc.) to get their signatures on the dotted line. Just ask Mike Tyson or Hasim Rahman or Zab Judah. If Mayweather was smart, he’d sit down with those guys and speak to them Frankly about their experiences with King, but he’s not nearly as smart outside of the ring as he is in it.
And you know what? That’s all good. King and Mayweather are made for each other. Hell, they deserve each other.

its typical of floyd that he wanted to fight cotto when he was a relative newcomer with only a couple wbo title defenses. but when cotto became a huge star and one of the best fighters in boxing not to mention a real threat to floyd's flimsy undefeated record he fake retired.
let's also not forget when floyd "calls out" someone that amounts to diddly squat. he called out pac then did everything in his power not to fight him. now we can never know if he was serious about fighting the people he called out because he has no credibility. he thinks he's in the wwe or something.
That's why it's better to just leave the guy alone and let him fight whoever he feels comfortable fighting. It's quite obvious that he doesn't give a damn about what the public wants. I agree he could make tons of money just fighting whoever.
This whole comparison between Pac / May is just sickening. Flomos had to slam Pac's infidelity and all that non-boxing related s*** just to feel good about their idol. These two are probably not meant to fight. We move on and watch other fights out there. (That Marquez/Diaz fight was entertaining.)
This transexual bastard hates floyd. Funny how no one brought this up now all of a sudden everyone agrees. He left top rank to make more money and now look at him. How can anyone believe this
So the chicken becomes duck!
he left Top Rank thats quack!;
then, he left GBP thats another quack!
Don King must do somethin...
to prevent another quack!
I know for a fact that PAc's fans don't really think that Floyd is ducking their charge lol. I know for a fact that they don't believe what they post about Floyd lol... You tried it with Margarito, then Cotto, then Shane, then back to Freitas and Casamayor, then Kostya, and now Pac lol...
You Pactards don't have Floyd, you just hate his big money talking mouth. You have total respect for Floyd lol... You want the fight made, we understand that, but you side too much against Floyd lol... You Pactards aren't phony, you're just new to the sport which is why I just bring up Pac being ko'd in 3 rounds videos lol...
The same Cotto that ducked Floyd after he saw what Floyd did to Gatti? :lol1:
Cotto: I'm not ready for Mayweather.
its typical of floyd that he wanted to fight cotto when he was a relative newcomer with only a couple wbo title defenses. but when cotto became a huge star and one of the best fighters in boxing not to mention a real threat to floyd's flimsy undefeated record he fake retired.

The ducking accusations are left and right from the US media. How in hell are you going to defend this?
How? Be man enough to admit the accusations were foolish. Give up these testing *** only fools care about. Then negotiate in terms of leaving your opponent with some sense of dignity. Finally, fight.
There's no shame in that. People would salute him by merely doing that.
Floyd left top rank to get at De la Hoya, Margarito was just a guy that he could have fought had he stayed. Top Rank and Golden Boy didn't start talking until much later on it is pretty clear why Floyd left.
I also don't think Floyd needs to leave GBP to avoid Manny, I am sure GBP would still work with him.
This sounds more like the media crying than anything because Floyd won't talk to them lol...
Because3 Floyd realized that when he opens his mouth to the public, he makes a big fool outta himself.
So if Doug picks Manny over Floyd and loses, who's he going to say he ducked next?
nobody will ever know who's gonna win with pac vs pbf
the thing is floyd is avoiding pac
for now, the issue is floyd's ducking pac
and he keeps on ducking
period
Doug is as immature as most of the posters here on Boxingscene, I swear man.
His immature? Look at your avatar.. Your still into cartoons lol hehe!:fingersx:
Although Dougie is biased as hell, I gotta agree with him. Floyd signing with Don King is the weirdest thing I could imagine happening. Not only is Floyd supposed to be all about "smart" financial decisions inside and outside of the ring but to sign with King, a guy who rips fighters off makes no sense. So Dougie's points are valid, it's like a desperate attempt for Floyd to duck Manny and he's willing to take a hit to his bank account and to his reputation to do it....:lame:
So if Doug picks Manny over Floyd and loses, who's he going to say he ducked next?
your mssing the point. He ducked Margo and now Manny.
HE WILL NEVER FIGHT MANNY. hence he ducked him...smh.
