During there fight Mosely was an old man in there, he needed a cane.. Too old, no stamina mouth already opened in the 4th round. He couldn't keep up, he had no stamina. He is just to old for an almost 39 year old fighter. It just shows people where fooled to believing he still has it.
As Larry Merchant pointed out in an interview, fighters who are past there prime will still create the illusion that they are good when faced with a slow fighter (Margarito), But if faced with a fast younger fighter the reality takes over and it usually shows the real picture that past there prime fighters can't compete with someone faster.
We all know Power is the last one that goes out from an old fighter, that's why he still caught floyd with a devastating right. It's just that he was too slow to compete with Floyd's youth.
If it was a young primed mosely who fought Floyd. Floyd would have his 2nd loss already ( castillo his first loss ). Mosely would have finished him of for sure. He just wasn't able to finish him off coz lets face it speed vs speed, a younger fighter will most likely have more to offer.
First of all you guys say Mosely ain't a prune coz he is still good for a almost 39 year old fighting May, but what more if Mosely was in his prime fighting Floyd.. Mosely wasn't competing at the highest level at age 38.
If Mosely was at his prime and landed that big bombs that buckled Floyd twice. It is not hard to believe that Mosely could have followed up and ended the fight.
I don't even think he would have to even follow threw with more punches. If a 38 year old mosely can buckle Floyd what more if that bomb that landed on Floyd was from a prime mosely. Lights out for sure.
PBF got caught by an old 38 year old Mosely. A faster stronger Mosely would have landed it much heavier if it was at his prime. I know Floyd has the ability to adjust. But what will he have to adjust from if Mosely gets that hard right bomb in there. It's over man. Floyd will go to lala land. If Floyd is still standing. He will finish him of with a barrage of punches. Ain't rocket science. Floyd has nothing to adjust coz he will be sleeping real good.
Floyd got rocked and was holding Shane on there previous fight, If Mosely was 33 who had more strength, speed, and stamina and he pushed Floyd away while Floyd was holding him for dear life for 30 seconds that he was dazed, Mosely could have went into a flurry and finished him off while FLoyd was disoriented and about to go down, he was really finding his bearings.. A 33 year old mosely would have flurried and finished him off. It's over for sure.
Sometimes boxing is brute force. 1 punch is all it takes to turn a tide.
Who wins a 33 year old Floyd (age he fought Mosely) vs a 33 year old Mosely? Same age who wins? :boxing:
So far this poll seems to be almost a 50/50 split.. I guess these 2 fighters can be considered as equals.. But if Floyd calls himself the greatest he should pull away from Mosely if He wants to be higher than the Ali's and the Sugar Ray's.. This just shows he still has a lot to prove to be called himself the greatest.
Note: Mistext on poll question: I meant if Mosely "was" at his prime fighting floyd who wins?
I always thought that Shane was the one fighter who had all the intangibles to beat Floyd. But after watching the two square off, I don't believe that any version of Shane could have beat that version of Floyd. But I think a prime Shane would have beaten a lesser seasoned Floyd.
naah he was just too old.
Mayweather is and always was the better boxer, if he survives the big shot (which will land and land more often) he wins again.
50/50, Mayweather decision or Mosley KO, you'd imagine a prime Shane being faster, stronger and fitter.
Yup it could go either way. Just shows there in the same league. 50/50 as this poll is showing.
He was an almost 39 year old fighter who fought Floyd.. He still had speed but not the speed to contend witha younger faster fighter. If he was at least 33 years old duriing there fight. That flush right he threw that buckled Floyd would have been the catalyst for a follow through of barrage of punches from a prime Mosely. Sadly, he was really a 38 year old prune. SO yes a Floyd who fights once a year and an unseasoned floyd would truly get ****ed up good by a 33 year old Mosely.
I really think Mosley wins at lightweight. But even the Mosley that fought Cotto might not even win.Its a hard fight..

you still did not answer the question! Why did pacquiao walk away from the fight the first time? Why didn't he take the test, if he has nothing to hide? Answer that or shut the **** up!!
lol.. This post is about Mosely and Floyd your in the wrong thread doll.. That's why I don't need to answer your dumbass question.. Coz you can't even notice the topic of the thread your at. Dimwit.. Gtfo lol
Wou've been owned over and over, brah you've be K.O'd already.. stay down l****n loser :owned:
Btw, just so you can be happy and leave, pac didn't want to be tested coz its not in the nsac rules. And there not fighting in the olympics, It's called professional boxing geez, and they are governed by the nsac rules in nevada if they have fought there. Same as Floyd can't take xylocain if he fought in another state coz it's band in other states lol.. OST ain't in the rules that's why.. Geez how much can you take.. Floyd isn't bigger than boxing. All boxers are taking the regular nsac testing why insist on Pac when he didn't even offer it to 40 of his previous fights.. Oh I know coz he felt like it.. He wants to have all the advantage height reach built and blood draining lol I've pounded you to much already. Get some sleep hehe..
If boxers fight just for the fans and want the best , then why in the hell is Pacqiao fighting Margarito. Why did Your leader Pacquiao fight old ass weightdrained coming off of two losses De la hoya, or punch drunken Cotto and Hatton who was recently Knocked the **** out by Mayweather and Margaritos cheating Ass. You make no sense at all. Pacman also walked away from the fight with MAYWEATHER. Where were you then. Mayweather accepted all his crazy demands under one condition, TAKE THE TEST!! and ya boi Ran off crying talking about it makes him weak, then remebered he has tats, oh then changed his story and said its against his religion, etc etc, all bull****. Pacman is dirty as hell and no way the fight is gonna happen unless he takes the test. Then we will see the real Pacman. After his defeat you can crawl back under your rock and wait for someone elses nuts to ride!!
HuH? You said with or without ped's Floyd will win. And you still harp about pac taking ped's? Your contradicting yourself. If it's going to be an easy win for floyd why not take the easy fight and win 50mill?
And, Your asking why Pac is fighting margarito, it's because Pac's first choice to fight on November is on vacation lol.. Still don't know who that guy is? I'll give you a clue.. His a chicken and he is gay lol.. Starts with F and his lastname is mayweather lol.. Your such a dumb schmuck your owning yourself as you reply lol.. :owned:
You flomos are the dumbest bunch..
Tell you what tell Your gayweather fighter to stop having a vacation. He just had a 2year off.. Now he is doing it again lol..
And he already lost arum, Dlh, and now he is going to the dirtiest promoter ever. Your boy is desperate to land a promoter coz no one will take him anymore.. Golden boy had enough of his whining.. They saw how ****ed up he is and they don't anything to do with his physcotic ways..His not a fighter. I say just tell him to walk away your boy is bad for boxing.
You are like Floyd as well, you can't defend what you say lol. Don't be a ducker and man-up you got owned bigtime hehe!:owned:
You said with or without PEDS pac will lose.. So tell your Gay fighter to go up in the ring and fight already ped's won't matter in your view.. He will woop pac's arse right.. It's going to be an easy fight. So what are you wating for lol.. Dumbass :owned:
Tell you what.. Why don't you do something productive and convince Floyd he is not gay... He can still fix this image that he has been projecting hehe!
He can still stop being a chicken.. You flomos should help him.
I won't disagree with anyone who says he was at his best at 130 mainly because of what he accomplished there. But in terms of being more of a complete boxer, personally I think 140 was his best, and I've been one of the only few to express that. Honestly, I didn't enjoy watching him run all over the ring against JLC and Victoriano Sosa, looked a lot like he was being forced to fight at a much higher pace. At 140 he got more physical with guys, became a better inside fighter; could stand his ground more.
Yeah man, I wanted to see Mayweather face Joel Casamayor. Thats the only name I can think of, I would have LOVED to have seen that.
I see what ya saying...At 140lb he was being alot more physical and still keep his speed..147lb he just could not be hit and fought very defensively but I believe it was because he was not comfortable at the weight yet.Casamayor was one of the names cause of his slick style I wonder how Floyd would have handle it.Another name is freitas..Another slick boxer puncher.I think Floyd beats both of umm I just would have loved to see it..
IMO which I will admit when it comes to Mosley at times can be bias...He is one of the best, only because guys did everything in their power not to fight him...I thought Mays best weight was 130lb but he never fought the guys I wanted him too at the weight but he still one of the best fighters to come out of that weight class.

If Shane were prime when they fought, it would have happened at 135. You guys act like Floyd was the easiest guy to hit back then. Dude, was a beast at the lower weights. I know you all don't like him, but, try to look at everything as a whole and not just "if Shane were prime". Floyd outboxes Shane, at anytime in their respective careers.
One thing when Floyd was a LW he was more offensive minded...I believe both young at 135lb he gets drag into a dog fight an might get KO'd..At 147 he wins he was a different fighter at that time...
I won't disagree there man, Mosley was a straight beat at 135 pounds. But you also have to understand that the opposition he faced there wasn't all that. He would be able to hang against the best LWs in history but no offense, he'll never be looked at as one of the best LWs. No different from Floyd at 140, personally I think Mayweather was at his best at 140; more complete, but Mayweather didn't beat anyone at 140.

Mosley was a beast at LW. Just sucked that he had a local CA promoter for his first 20 something fights. Once he got with Cedric Kushner. He gave Mosley the fights. Fighters like Stevie Johnston didn't want Mosley. Ivan Robinson backed out of 2 fights. Israel Cardona backed out of a fight with Mosley. Cesar Bazan backed out of Mosley fight. All ranked fighters at 135 when Mosley was a LW.
Duran and Whitaker were better LW's. But Mosley was a beast to. To be honest I don't think a lot of people seen Mosley at LW. After the Forrest L. Mosley wasn't the same fighter anymore. You could tell that his confidence was gone.
Floyd was a beast to at the lowers weights. The fight would've better than the one last May. A confident Mosley vs a confident Floyd. That's a great fight
I totally agree with you here man..The whole post nothing more to be said on this point...:friday:
When Vernon and Winky (and to some extend De La Hoya) beat Shane, they got all the praise in the world. When Floyd Mayweather Jr puts a beating and whooping Shane's ass like he's never tasted before they try to take it away from him. Talk about double standards.
prime mosley would have knocked floyds ass out in the second round
Yup it would have been the end of Floyd's career for sure. Floyd was wise to stay away from a prime Mosely.
5 years ago Mosley was fighting the david estrada, Cruz of these world trying to rebuild his shattered confidence before stepping it up again, The best Mosley we have seen against great competition so far was the one that moved up from 135 to 147 to fight De la Hoya, Even at 135 Mosley didnt really have any great names or competition to compete with.
At 135, the fight would have been way more competitive. But Floyd would still pull it off. Shane Mosley were a BEAST at lower weights. But so were Floyd.
If there was a poll on bull**** scientific knowledge and flawed logic then SPOON23 would certainly get my vote
Haha.. I think you woke-up at the wrong side of your bed hehe!.. I guess you certainly should also give your vote to the 45% voters who think Mosely would win. Where all dumb right lol
