i know... but what a wish huh? :) 117-111 is a joke score for the alexander/kotelnik bout...
I'd miss his goofy ass voice as much as the next guy but giving alexander the first 3 rounds is bull****, as is 117-111; i love lederman, but he's obviously getting too old and gives fighters (the latest, Devon Alexander) way too much credit for being simply busier, whether it's effective or not.
It's that or lederman is SO GOOD, that he's actually just trying to score the fights the same way they would be scored be the actual 3 judges, given the circumstances (i actually have less issue with a 116-112 for Alexander, but i'm about to get to him)
Do you know what's worse than a hometown-favored fighter in his own backyard? An HBO hometown-favored fighter in his own backyard..
Kellerman saved the broadcast commentary-wise; another classic from HBO boxing..
i'm simply not impressed by Devon Alexander, he was sooo gassed by the later rounds of the fight.. of course, there's skill in his game, but honestly it seems like he's another boxer who's allowed certain people (Don & Co.) to propel his career from a mostly "promotional" standpoint (here's where HBO comes in), not so much due to genuine talent.. if only Kotelnik could've been blessed with a bit more power.. i'd love to see him fight again.
And I DARE the powers-that-be to try to make 'Alexander-Bradley' a PPV...
Looking forward to seeing Arreola's fat ass on FNFHD, gotta love the personality though, i have a bet with a buddy riding on whether or not ESPN will need to use time-delay on his post-fight..
I don't get a thread like this. Out of everyone in boxing, no one consistantly gets the scores right like Lederman.
One bad night doesn't change the fact that he has been on the money with hundreds of fights. Sorry but this thread fails........
Sorry, but if you think Harold Lederman has had 'onebad night' then you don't watch enough HBO broadcasts...
sure he'll get it right from time-to-time, but to call Lederman consistant at this point in his commentating career is ridiculous, just as i mentioned earlier and what Dubstep reiteratied... Lederman does favor the more aggressive fighter, whether that fighter is landing the majority of his punches or not, and its wrong.. and i've seen it happen in fights on HBO's air probably 10-20 times over the last 2-5years... it's not a 'once in a while' sorta thing
LOL, and if we're in a world where Harold Lederman is the best judge "Out of everyone in boxing", then we have way more inconsistency in the sport than i thought.
Nothing failing with my argument..
Watch Paul Williams vs Quintana I.
Lederman is a disgrace. He's close in a lot of fights, and way the fuk off in far too many.
You know absolutely shit so fuck off.
Anyways back to the topic. Ledderman has his good nights and his bad nights. Last Saturday was just a horrible night. But, I won't say is time to hang it up.

oh yea, and i had it 116-112 Kotelnik, gave Alexander 4 rounds.. 1,4,8,10 (a few could've gone either way like maybe the 11th)
sorry i'm sure the fight's already been debated, but i was just now able to see the fight and i needed to get my Lederman rant out there..
