Who was the harder puncher? I remember Jose Armando Santa Cruz saying that after sparring with guys like Casamayor, Valero and Antonio Margarito, Valero is the hardest puncher he's ever seen. And of course we've all seen what Pacquiao did to guys like Diaz, Morales, Marquez in round 3, etc.
I thinlk Valero is punches harder than Pacquiao. On the other side of the coin. When Valero took real challenge in the name of Mosquera which is far from the level of Pacquiao opponents. Mosquera able to knock him down and by fighting a wrong fight plan it took 10 rounds for Valero to finally ko this guy. Not a good sign if he is fighting Pacman.
Maybe Valero, but it doesnt matter if he cant land it. He gets alot a power from the wide swing he throws them at.
If they both throw the same punch at the same time Pacquiao Ko's Valero Fact!
I agree with what both you and Jrose said. The only true gauge from his infamous sparring sessions in which he fought a lot of the guys Manny did.
I heard he absolutely destroyed Oscar, Morales (I don't believe this one) Antillon, and others. There are even rumors of him beating up on Manny pretty bad but again we will never know.
I have heard several high profile fighters, who brought him in during their camps, vouch for Edwin and they have no reason to lie IMO. This is how I know it wasn't just his weak opposition because even guys who disliked him gave him props.
I seen the Antilion vid he had him on queer street with full gear on. They stopped the session.
Ey fellas yall gotta remember that just because he didnt fight the greatest comp doesnt mean thay all had glass chins.
How many elite fihters has Cintron KO'd? None right yet we all know hes P4P one of the hardest punchers in the sport.
Its about power not comp.
You make a good point but whenever Valero even slightly moved up in competition, the KO's were not as impressive. Which makes me question whether he could have stopped Pacquiao's opponents in the same way Pacquiao did. Because his opponents were no where near that calibre.

Pac was overall the better fighter and had very good pop.
However, if I am going straight power I would say Valer did.
Valero IMO had more pure 1 punch KO power and Pac was more speed, volume, relentless pressure with pretty good pop to go along with it. But, Valero pure power was just a tad bit better. IMO Valero had bone crushing power.

For 1 punch KOI power I'd lean towards Valero a little but Pacquiao was more complete as a fighter and had better ability to deliver.
Valero's opposition has to be questioned aswell.

Who's observing and pushing buttons? That's like saying car can drive by itself because it was "designed" to do it. Keep showing your ignorance. It's funny really. And I didn't need wikepedia to know that people are operating and using compux to punch in the blows landed that they see. That's for for your benefit because you were too ignorant realize what I was saying. It was you that made the incredibly srupid comment that compubox works with "no human intervention" which means it operates on it's own-So obviously you believe the computer is watching the fights lol.
i thought you're done with me...you can't resist my charms do you? :lol1:
ok let's use your example...car. why do you need a car for? to get to your destination so much faster and at much less time compared to when you use your legs and run. in other words you can't run 80 or 100 kms per hour so you need a car. the only thing is you need to drive it, but it doesn't mean the car's speed is caused by the driver's strength. it's all because of the machine in the car. the same thing with compubox. humans can't count punches thrown and landed with their bare eyes during a fight. so they invented the computer program called compubox...but it can't operate by itself so they need humans to operate it. what i meant with human intervention not present was in the aspect of counting the punches. it's the program within the computer that do the counting which is the topic in that thread. human intervention in the operation of computer is another thing. you got that idiot?
i didn't say it watches fights dumbass...it's a computer so you need to set it up and operate before it works to its purpose. what do you need a computer for if it's still humans who will do the counting of punches thrown and landed? and do you think they can give you an outright number of punches immediately after each round and sometimes even in the middle of it if it's not computerized? wikipedia my ass...stupid.
Who's observing and pushing buttons? That's like saying a car can drive by itself because it was "designed" to do it. Keep showing your ignorance. It's funny really. And I didn't need wikepedia to know that people are operating and using compubox to tap in the punches that they see. That's common sense. That's for for your benefit because you were too ignorant to realize what I was saying. It was you that made the incredibly stupid comment that compubox works with "no human intervention" which means it operates on it's own-So obviously you believe the computer is watching the fights lol. And the original argument was that "humans can't make mistakes" with compubox because it's a computer. Just plain stupid. And this will be my last response to your stupidity.
Honestly they only put the light sparring sessions on the net. The ones where they are really are going at it, intentional get left off for obvious reasons.
It's like that scenario with Floyd on 24/7 where you saw him doing light work, and then when they got serious, they told HBO camera crew to leave. That when the real sparring takes place and unfortunately that is only for both teams and those who are actually at the gym to see.
Yeah I wish I could see the intense sparring sessions.

Nice find. While I don't really put much thought into sparring sessions, it does look like Valero got the better of this one.

Just give it up, Dude. You're just exposing your ignorance. Basically what your saying is Compubox watches fights and counts on it's own which is just plain stupid. I'm not going to waste anymore time explaining this to your dumb ass.

I'm sure there is...just not on the net. I think you will only see light sparring sessions on youtube as camps don't want things they work on out there for eveyone to see.
There is one with him against Morales but this isn't one where they are actually going at it (the one that was rumored to get Valero sent home).

Was there ever a video of when he with sparred Barrera?
