I don't know about this fight. Both guys seem to be good friends and i'm interested in seeing how they approach this fight. For some reason, I see Ward not taking this fight as serious as the others because he already has a spot secured in the semi-finals and Dirrell knows he has to win this fight to get a spot in the semi finals. What if Ward just lets him win so their is another American in the semis? lol I see it being a pretty boring fight with no one taking a stand except for Dirrell for the most part and see him taking a split decision. What do yous think?
Only if you are a boxing fan...
I think it's a great matchup, especially for those of us who have watched every fight in the Super Six. Will Dirrell come back from the devasting illegal punch by Abraham? Will he be able to run like he did for Froch? Will Ward be just as dominant as he was against Kessler?
I don't know about you but I want to see those questions answered. I think the top two favorites now are Abraham and Ward. Green is a dark horse at this point (no pun intended). Kessler and Froch are very doubtful.
i have confidnce that dirrell is too gifted for ward......and before someone mentions forch, we all know the insecure version of dirrell got robbed.......unless the aa foul put doubts on his mind about his own chin, he should now know that he belongs....
war dirrell!
I'm not heavy with points, but I'll bet what I have come fight time against the equivalent on Ward.
Im pumped for it Andre Ward is high on my p4p list and Dirrell has speed and talent to waste, real good fight but i think Ward will take it to the inside and roug AD up, bully him and take it away on the cards
100K on a Ward win if ur intrested
Okay, confirmed. Dirrell is gonna shock the world - or, you know, the few thousand people watching.
This is the most significant fight of the year outside of Mayweather-Mosley. Btw I've got Dirrell if anyone wants to bet some points...

Ban this fool for stupidity, there is no way you are a real boxing fan...Ward and Dirrel are the best boxers in the tournament, why would you not want to watch the fight... Dirrel has the best chance of anyone in the tournament at beating Ward... Size, ward won't be able to bully him like he did green...Speed, ward won't be in fast forward like he was against Kessler, and he fighst with teh short arms, so he will definately have a problem getting past Dirrels jab...
I meant Dirrell, it was late and I was typing fast
But I did mean Dirrell has the edge in power
lol oh ok np, I have a habit of doing shit like that too.
This is the fight I'm most looking forward to. I think Ward is on his way to the top of the p4p list and Dirrell is the best competition for him in the tournament style wise. I'm seeing Ward v Dawson in a few years for p4p king.

This will be a good fight. Both guys can box with Dirrell being somewhat faster and more mobile. I love Dirrell but I expect Ward to hold his own (not dominate) on the outside, and go to town with hard body shots to break Dirrell.
That 0 is the only thing Ward will be fighting for. Hopefully it's enough.
He'd also lose his belt if he lost the belt. He will come ready and ready to win.
I think people will be shocked at how good this fight is. I'm not expecting a hug fest, or a bunch of slaps and pity pat punches, I'm expecting a highly entertaining chess match.
Dirrell is the only fighter in this tournament that seems to have a style capable of beating Ward, and is actually going to be the more athletic fighter, can't wait to see this fight.

pac fans...
this is by far the fight i wanted to see most this year, more than floyd-pac, more than bradley-alexander or wlad-haye. ward-dirrell is the best fight out there for my taste.
one man trying to keep his undefeated streak and title, the other trying to win his first title and advance into the semi finals of the super six so both will be very motivated.
nobody in the super six stands a real good chance to beat ward other than dirrell imo, a punchers chance maybe but thats it. dirrell has the style to beat ward, hes never faced someone who holds this many physical advantages over him. dirrell has faster hands, faster feet, is bigger and taller, hits harder and is closer than anyone else in the super six to match his skill set. thats were ward has an edge though, skills, smarts and mental strenght. but how will he apply it against dirrell? can he outbox him with his smarts taking advantage of dirrells fundamental flaws or will he try to make it rough and see if dirrell folds?
this fight will be boxing, the sweet science. we will see physical and technical skills at the highest level, not to mention strategical skills since both will be forced to adapt. dont forget that both are switch hitters, i cant recall ever seeing two guys who use both stances every fight square of against eachother. it will be very interesting to see how that factors into the fight. true pugilism when two future greats square of early in their careers, cant wait :boxing:
