2010 was a blow eh ?

wait till the year is up and then decide which is better i know this year i've been watching many more undercards and fighters which aren't that popular and the last 2 weeks have been great

Also Duddy-Chavez jr another PPV fight that didn't really belong in PPV. 2009 gave a lot of free fights that were actually good. 2010 made us pay for a lot of fights and some of the fights ended up being worthless or not costing the price tag. And even some fights that were free sucked.

Idk, there were some good matchups this year that turned out to be big letdowns. Marquez vs Vasquez 4, Diaz vs. Marquez 2. Neither of them were nothing like their previous matches. That's what i'm saying. Okay there were good match ups, but battle hardened is just going by the relevancy of the matches and not thinking about how they actually played out. In 09 there were relevant matches that ended being fun to watch.

Coming Off 2009, 2010 Is A Let Down I Love Boxing, I Watch It All The Time Besides Pacquiao Vs Mayweather Not Going Threw, Just A Let Down Theres Still A Couple Months Left Tho.. Last year There Were So Many Great Fights, Whats The FOTY So Far Any One ? Froch Vs Kessler ?

Mayweather vs Pacquiao is the most overrated fight for as long as I been watching the sports unbelievable how some people would base how good of a year boxing had just on this fight

2004-2006 were some lean years, 2010 is at that level.

I think your memory is lacking. There were like 6 weeks straight earlier this year with cards that were all very relevant. Not saying all those fights were great excitement, but all very relevant. Last year was worse IMO. I remember people on this site talking about how great 2010 was going to be. I don't get the change. I have been very satisfied so far. Then again I view Pac/May as just another fight. Not a blockbuster fight of the century type of fight. It's to easy to predict. May by wide decision. You have to be kidding me?

Some of you guys are not getting the point. Compared to 2009, 2010 is a blow. From 2001-2010. what years would you say were the worst? 2010 has to be up there. Boxing was very fun in 2001-2006 even 07-08 had fun fights to watch. 2009: Diaz-Marquez, Margarito-Mosley, Williams-Martinez, Berto-Collazo, Froch-Dirrell, Taylor-Abraham & Froch, Ward-Kessler, Bute-Andrade II, Williams-Wright, Bradley vs Peterson and Holt, Cintron-Martinez, Darchinyan-Arce, Pascal Diacanu I & II, Dawson vs Tarver II and Johnson II, Clottey-Cotto...Those are some of the free fights we were given last year. PPV fights Mayweather-Marquez, Pacquiao-Hatton, Pacquiao-Cotto, Lopez-Mtagwa(Top Rank PPV), Jones-Lacy(Square Ring PPV). See compared to 2009, 2010 is not an improvement by any means. Summer was really plain in boxing, and overall it looks like 2010 will be a forgettable year.

So quickly the monster lineup of fights that already aired were forgotten. Not to mention 3 super six fights which are all win and your in scenarios are coming up. I can tell your interestet level in boxing is limited. No, actually, he's right. I have been watching boxing since I was about 5. And I have to say, this is one of the worst years of my era. The monster line up you're talking about, came with too many lack luster fights in between. 2011 should be way better than 2010.

That's like saying... This has been a great World Cup! It's been so great that I think you will understand that we won't hold the World Cup final this year, only the 3rd place game. I watch sports to see the best go at it. The best ain't goin at it in boxing. Simple as that jack. So you haven't watched any fights this year then?

i've enjoyed 2010. the one fight that i really wanted to see took place, friday night fights started off very good, boxing was brought back to telefutura, top rank live debuted, the super six is still going on, and there's just been consistently good fights around the world throughout the year. i don't need everything to be a high-profile fight between two "stars" to be pleased.

Boxing goes through cycles, that's how the sport is. It's setting up to be a great 2011. And honestly, the super 6 was the highlight of 2010 and is great for the sport.

People don't get driven away from the sport unless they were casual fans to begin with. Nothing wrong with being a casual fan but hardcore fans of any sport do not just quit...

Already seen some great fights (just recently the HBO card), Mayweather vs Mosley, Kessler vs Froch, among others. Still some excellent fights to come like Dawson vs Pascal, JuanMa vs Rafael Marquez, and Gamboa vs Salido. This among numerous SHOBOX, Friday Night Fights, Top Rank Live and Fight Night Club fights.
