yep, sorry, another thread on this fight...but something Ive always found amusing: despite the fact that it was quite a close fight, I dont think Ive ever seen someone score it a draw. nope, never heard one person say they had it 113-113. Its always a win for Castillo or a win for Mayweather. God forbid we give them the same number of rounds.

Castillo got robbed in clear daylight....
I just remember watching it live and thinking "how in the world did they give it to Floyd? "
I loved that round.
Me too. Honestly, people who think Roger Mayweather is just a pads guy need to listen to his advice during that fight. Particularly after round ten, when the tide had completely shifted and Floyd was forced to use his legs to escape Castillo's relentlessness. I remember being very surprised hearing Roger tell Floyd to get inside and fight him. And even more surprised to see it go down. Quality boxing from both fighters.
I scored the fight for Mayweather. I thought Mayweather won the first 5 rounds easily. Well, the 5th was kind of close. I don't remember exactly how I scored the total fight, but I had Mayweather winning. Some rounds were really close, but I didn't feel a lot of Castillo's body shots were actually landing effective. However, I can see people wanting Floyd to lose so bad, they'd give the nod to Castillo in a close fight. But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
S/N: Fact is that Floyd Mayweather won the fight. He has no loses, what you think is opinion.
Some of you guys are fuken liars and only follow what people say...Some of your scores are just wrong....They took a point off castillo in the 8th round...So alot of your guyses scores are just wrong u damn liars..I had it a close fight, but had floyd winning...floyd won 3 of the first 4 rounds and a 8-10 in the 8th round thats a 5 point difference in 5 rounds..Either way Castillo fought a hell of a fight one of my all time favorites
Yeah, I thought Floyd looked better in those Castillo bouts than he did against Victoriano Sosa, for instance. Watching two master in-fighters like Floyd and Castillo go to work was just great. Love round 11 for that reason.
I loved that round.
ok, I just rescored the fight, and suprisingly had it 7-4-1. Mayweather swept the first four rounds, and I had the 9th a draw. Everything else Castillo, who just landed so many body punches...maybe some people ignore those, but I certainly dont.
yall act like floyd was rocked on that fight and was on queer street or something. castillo never even hurt him in that fight or the 2nd fight

You can't start off as slow as Castillo did and then expect to win a decision against a defensive boxer. The fight was close but like johnm said, Floyd is rarely seen, or never before seen, in a fight that close before.
It's like Jones vs Tarver I. Just because Jones didn't dominate and embarrassed, clowned his opponent, people said Tarver was robbed.
that fight was 114 -112. floyd won the 1st five rds. then castillo won 6, 7, 9,and 12. rds 8 and 10 were draws because both lost a point. castillo was winning rd 8 and threw a punch on the break and lost a point. Floyd was winning rd 10 before the elbow to the throat. castillo lost too many rd early on.
and I socre fights on min by min so if a fighter wins 2 out of 3 mins then he won the rd unless knocked down or hurt very bad. That's how i got 114 -112, but if u give castillo rd 5 and rd 10 which where close rds then u could have castillo wininng, but i don;t think that was the case and the judges didn't either. so floyd 41-0!!!
You were arguing so hard right after the Alexander/Kotelik fight that punch out put, and statistics don't matter. It's who lands the better more effective shots.
and Kotelnik landed more just like Castillo landed more.
He landed freakin 190 power punches on Floyd and Floyd only landed 60 on Castillo.
Castillo shoulder roll his ass!
You must be seriously mentally ill for scoring that fight for Floydie!
You simply refuse to realize how dumb you are. When are you just going to fall back and listen?
He really is stupid. The sad part is he believes what he's saying which makes him even more dumb.

7-5 Castillo i had it, Castillo was on his ass the entire fight after the 4th round and was landing the harder shots.
To be honest, whilst i can see someone giving it as a draw, i think you would have to be giving Mayweather the benefit of the doubt more than Castillo if you were to score it as a Mayweather win.
Rounds 6/7 were big rounds for Castillo.
wait a second, a computer reads what punches land and what punches dont? thats how compubox works? I always thought it was two or so guys that judged what punches landed to the best of their ability.
what incredible technology.:trink26:
THATS NOT HOW COMPUBOX WORKS
