I';ve always heard him speak good about Holyfield,think he admires the man and his career so maybe it's out of respect.

I don't know, Evander doesn't give up. Haye needs the old, slow, no power opponent to give up quickly too.
You just "took the words right out of my mouth", and beat me to it. Holyfirld IS old, yes, but still not that slow, and certainly, judging by his last few performances, still not completely "washed-up".
I'm not counting his Botha fight as this was a completely messy mix-up. Although if that is now the best Holyfield, then Haye "may" be tempted.
