I agree about Ward, and Alexander to a degree, just have to see more of him. Ward has that IT factor. His mental toughness, determination and will I think are greater than most in the sport. I see him topping the P4P list in the next few years when Pacman and Mayweather decline/retire.
Already unified the division before the age of 23. Unified the division after just 20 fights. Only man to ever KO Juan Urango, something which Ricky Hatton & Ander Berto cound't do.
And only man to stop Junior Witter. Has amazing skill & talent. And is being ducked by Timoth Bradley.
I think the Urango stoppage was an early one it possibly would have ended up being a legit knock out if it was allowed to continue but if you rewatch the ending Urango was clearly up and ready to fight. I also dont think Bradley is ducking him only letting the fight build up so that both can get paid. I you compare accomplishments between the 2 Bradley has proven much more. I do agree that he has talent but i dont see that he has a special talent that everyone else seems to see. Maybe i will be proven wrong
Can somebody tell me what Devon Alexander has done to warrant all the hype he is getting? the fight with Urango was close up until he landed that big uppercut and other then that his best win is over a Junior Witter who Bradley beat a year earlier.

It's more the glimpses of pure talent than a particularly impressive ledger I think. I like Alexander but Bradley is miles away as far as accomplishments go.

Why are everyone giving Ward praise for beating a fighter who went life and death wtih Froch and beating a gate keeper who just showed up for a paycheck? He's a good fighter, but let's see him do more shall we?
I thought Kessler clearly beat Froch. There were some swing rounds but I thought overall that Kessler was the boss in there. I thought Froch looked better against Dirrell, honestly, and although I had Dirrell up by a point, my scoredcard was wider in favor of Kessler over Froch than Dirrell over Froch. I fully expect Froch to get the second huge win of his career over Abraham in his next fight as well.
Aside from that, Kessler had proven to be a class operator for years at this weight. His wide win over a prime Mundine, KO of Markus Beyer, and respectable showing in a loss against Calzaghe confirmed that for me before his win over Froch. Aside from that, you only had to watch Kessler to tell how good he is. Fast, powerful, accurate.

:lol1:
Not in this lifetime. SOG is going to make a man out of the Matrix.
Dirrell's too quick, too athletic. Ward is gonna leap straight into a right hand and land himself in a heap of trouble, quote me on that :boxing:
I figure Dirrell should show us some *****s in what has appeared to be Ward's impenetrable armor as of late. I seriously doubt that Dirrell has the toughness or the inside skills to deal with the kind of roughhouse tactics that Ward is going to use.
I expect Dirrell to basically pack it up at some point and get on his bike, then lose a UD.
The way I see it playing out, Ward won't get too many opportunties to rough Dirrell up. And I don't think he's dangerous enough to really make Dirrell uncomfortable when he's only sporadically allowed to work
Dirrell is gonna kick Ward's arse

You can make an arguement that Ward has shown to have the potential to be a special fighter, but typically it's best to wait a few years after a breakout win (in this case, over Kessler) and watch how a fighter performs against multiple styles at the top of the sport (and ideally, at multiple weights) before determining that you are witnessing an elite, special talent.
Devon, on the other hand, has proven little. I thought he was losing rounds against Urango before that admittedly beautiful uppercut.
The statement is far from fact, ftr.
