What's wrong with pacquiao/margarito?

I don't like this fight too... I have been watching boxing since Ali-Frazier, I love manny and i like floyd as a boxer too but i cannot wait for floyd to finally say yes to the fight. So even if i don't like it, i'll be watching this fight still...

The commission sould let Margocheato use the plaster gloves, like he MIGHT of used in the Cotto fight and then he might have a chance to beat Pacman :boxing:

its a joke tht the fight is for the wbc belt. why are the no.1 and 2 contenders not fightin for it? the catchweights not such a problem as margarito usually fights at 147 anyway. its just a joke its for a 154lb title bet pac doesnt even defend it at 154 either which makes it even more of a joke tht he or his team cheat history making his an 8 weight champion

Margarito simply doesn't deserve this, but it's happening unfortunately. Pac is getting criticized, and most people seem like they don't support this fight. where? I haven't seen nor read anyone from the media criticize this fight. i barely see fans criticize this fight. where is the uproar that Floyd was getting when campbell and Matt hatton where being talked about. Why is there no uproar?

You notice how every fight we end up bringing size into it with Pac now? Hatton might have been too big, Cotto might have been to big, last time Clottey might have been too big, now Margarito might be too big. I guess we're all thinking at some point if Pac keeps moving up someone's ass will be too big. that too little stuff ain't gon fly no more. he done fought Clottey at full WW. If u truly #1, then challenge these fighters at their weights and quit shrinking them.

I mean Pac has to fight somebody since the Floyd-fight fell through and this fight is a challenge given the size difference. It's kinda Floyd-JMM just the other way around. yeah, he has got to fight somebody, but don't have to be Margarito!!! If he wants a ttitle at 154, fight martinez for the vacant title. he could fight at 140 again, he could bring 1 of those guys up from 140. fight a slickster and prepare yourself for Floyd. you know why he isn't do that, but taking safe fights is because if he fight somebody slick...he might just lose!

Should'nt Margarito have to work his way back into the picture. How can we criticize Floyd and not chastise Manny for fighting a guy the Mosley decapitated and it was 22 mos ago. 8 more mos than 14!!! I have criticized Pac for this ridiculous joke of a fight. You got the last few reasons right, this fight is horrible because it is a catchweight fight for a title neither holds, completely cutting out fighters who have earned that shot. It is also very ridiculous because Margarito does not deserve a fight this big so soon after what he attempted to do against Mosley. I will not buy this fight and I will give Pac very little if any credit for winning. But those first couple of reasons were not very good reasons, just trying to show how easy it is to completely discredit a fighter. what was wrong with marquez/mayweather? This one would be too easy. But floyd fans were treating it like the fight of the century. And if you don't believe it was, if you feel it was a "tune up" fight, then the threads you should be making should have the title: "why is floyd only fighting once every 100 years?" mayweather/marquez was for no titles - vacant nor catchweight title for one. It was a tune up fight for two it wasn't for floyd's 6th title in his 6th different weight class being fought at weight below the limit. It was just a fight...a statement fight actually. Floyd wanted to make pac's greatest foe look easy and he did!

What isn't wrong with this fight? -Margarito got destroyed by Shane Mosley. The same Shane Mosley that Floyd detractors say is old. The same Shane mosley who got embarrassed by Floyd Mayweather! -Margarito last real fight was against Shane Mosley in Jan of 09 and he is now scheduled to fight Pac in Nov of 10. Margarito has done nothing but fight a tune up fight against a Garcia who hasn't done even 1/2 as much as Margarito as of late because of a suspension. So Margarito has been or will be out of action for about 22 months. -Margarito doesn't even have a license yet after he got suspended for having bricks in his gloves prior to the Shane mosley fight. maragrito shouldn't even be fighting! -the fight is also a title fight being fought at a weight that neither fighter as really campaigned at. they are fighting for vacant title that neither fighter has earned a right to pursue -The vacant title fight is not even being fought at the jr MW limit. It is being fought at a catchweight of a whopping 150 lbs!!! a 150LBs!!!! A vacant title is being fought at catchweight people!!! Despite all this, I hear no real criticism. Why isn't the boxing media going on a tirade against this fight. The idea of this is blasphemy! When U talk about catchweight championships,usually at least 1 of the combatants is actually a champion,in this case,neither are champ!!Fights like this shouldn't be in ppv!!This fight is a sham,"don't get me wrong,I'm watching it",but if Pacman is truly this elite fighter,on another level,then why doesn't he fight the Punisher or Martinez,U know the 2 top fighters at 154,impress me Manny,Margarito for the title is all smoke & mirrors!
