I love Pirog as much as the next man but...

Williams really gets no respect on this board. Martinez said several times that ws the toughest fight of his career. People act like Williams bring NOTHING to the table for opponents. Let them keep being DUMB and sleep on Paul Williams. The man is a proven bad ass and has defeated other proven badasses! Pirog looks PROMISING, but he's highly unproven and he's not perfect. For one he has mental lapses during the bout and keeps his hands dangerously low (that's exactly the lapse Jacobs had and Pirog made him pay). Lets see what his chin looks like. Lets see what his recuperative abilities look like. People that talk shit about Paul Williams don't understand how good you have to be to reach the level Paul Williams has reached. You don't beat Margarito and Martinez by being a BUM with no defense. LOL!

Wouldnt be surprised if he faces Jacobs again down the line. I would like his next fight to be Williams and depending on who wins that they face Martinez.

To someone elses point, it's only natural that people get excited. I am a bit more of a skeptic; I'd like to see two or three more fights. IMO Martinez is better. Williams might have trouble with his style, but I think he can get the job done. I've already expressed that Williams has to dig deep and get focused, he needs to seriously work out his flaws and execute an effective fight plan. If he does that, he will do well against Pirog. of course martinez is better he proved that already by fighting. williams is better aswell. this pirog dude hasnt done anyhting yet and its funny how all of a sudden after one win he's being compared to top mwwights. i can already feel that hes got great potential of becoming a serious hypejob

Pirog beats Pavlik, Martinez, Kirkland, Pavlik, easily, yup I said it. I agree that he gives Pavlik 2X the beating. lol I have to say this...Kirkland is another person that people overrate. Martinez...Not so easy.

Not really. Pirogs chin, heart, stamina and will would be testd vs. The Punisher. Pirog isnt really slick. He has some nice ass moves but he can be hit Jacobs landed alot. Im going to go out on a limb and say Paul is no Danny Jacobs. Piorg is in for the fightof his life vs. Paul. I'm not hating on Paul, it's cool you have a different opinion, i'd love to see it whatever the case may be. Chin - I have no doubt that Jantuah hits harder than PW, i imagine Toygonbaev and Jacobs too. Stamina - check the compubox stats for some of his fights. Pirog averages 90-100 punches per round frequently.

I like Pirog's style. He defends pretty well, but isn't afraid to let his hands go. He also sets his punches up really well, especially how he set up the KO on Jacobs. As far as him vs Williams? Still tough to tell. I wanna see Pirog against some other contenders and then see what he can do against a Williams or Martinez. I think both would be dope fights though.

Thanks for removing me from your ignore list. I feel that the Jacobs-Pirog fight was the "it" fight from this past weekends PPV. Me and my homeboy jumped up and were shouting when the K.O. came...it was weird at first seeing a russian/easter european move like that and roll his shoulders and weave under some shots. He is definetely a breath of fresh air. IMO he in contender status but he defenitely needs more fine tuning before he takes on the big dogs around his weight division

I don't agree that Jacobs was "garbage" - that's unnecessarily harsh. Unproven, untested, not very good, whatever. But garbage? As in, literally, trash in the bin? Come on. A term like that should be reserved for genuinely shit fighters like Valuev or something.
