I seen a comment on here referring to Tony as a "SUPER" WW, but I cant recall him fighting on PPV ever. I watched all his fights on HBO. Up until the cotto win the "casual" boxing fan had no clue who he was, and frankly most still dont. Boxing fans know him, but anyother excuse why he gets the Pac fight over evryone else, other than Arum magic, is ridiculous... Politics as usual
maybe that comment of him being a "super welterweight" was referring to the 154 weight class, also known as junior middleweight
just a thought :spank:
lol and the context of the comment i read wasnt referring to weight. It was like he is top 5 as far as opponents for a mega bout.
im far from being new to the sport, i never really Tony. I use to train and i started to here his name after he beat Cintron. Believe it or not the first full margarito fight i watched was the p will loss.I never was impressed with his skills. Honestly, the bricks in the gloves explained alot..
But there wernt any bricks in his gloves.

He had a PPV against Manuel Gomez, then Cotto which was a mega affair..
The first Cintron fight was an ESPN PPV where SSM fought on the undercard as wel as Jameel Micline
Cotto - Margarito, Cotto was the headline not Margarito.
Margarito did headline PPV fight, and he done 30k buys :lol1:
So cotto fought himself you fuking moron?

Margarito > Cotto, get it right.
Wait, he doesn't know the Cotto fight was on PPV? lol I thought he was saying aside from the Cotto fight he wasn't, which is also false as the above poster pointed out.

They refer to him as a super welterweight because it's a weight class, not because he's actually "super".
Are you new?
You mentioned the Cotto win which was PPV BTW.

Really? Sure he wasn't a PPV attraction, but to me he was considered the most dangerous WW in the world back in 2006. I mean his wins over Cintron were just as impressive. He also gave Paul Williams all he could handle.
