Roy Jones Jr vs Floyd Mayweather Jr: Who do you enjoy watching more?

Mayweather easily... Loved RJ though.

Jones in his prime would make you look foolish. Mayweather would just dominate. Jones by far.

If Roy was dominating his opponent and felt he had the fight in the bag, he'd go the extra mile to close the show in entertaining fashion for the fans. Floyd can give a fuk about the paying fans. His performance against Baldomir proved it. He completely outclassed a guy that outweighed him by what looked like alot with a broken hand, he dominated. I don't see what the problem is what that fight, Floyd had zero trouble with him while he was hurt, Cotto can quit and it's cool the excuses never end, manny gets his eyes crossed and handed gifts and the excuses never end, Floyd fights hurt and wins lopsidedly and he's the one they say has no heart because he isn't fighting foolishly when he doesn't need to.

They both talked smack outside the ring, but RJJ actually backed it up INSIDE the ring. his personality matched his fighting style. Floyd's does not. The difference outside the ring is that Roy was good natured while Floyd is mean spirited. A much less annoying arrogance.

Roy Jones was not as fortunate as Floyd to actually have the number of qualified fighters to pick and chose from. On the other hand, Roy Jones would not have stayed in a division for so long without fighting each and every one of them. This is where Floyd gets criticized daily on. If Roy were Floyd, he would have fought Cotto when he was undefeated, Margo when he beat Cotto. He would have even moved up to try to beat Paul Williams and Martinez and he would have fought Manny without calling for PEDs testing. Nobody would have been calling Roy a ducker/dodger .... +1 Jones beat the best competition he could find at his weight. Here's the thing about Roy Jones Jr....you can't really name a boxer from 160-175lbs that could beat Roy Jones Jr. in his prime (1995-2002). Meanwhile, I'm pretty convinced that a prime (97-00) DLH could've beaten Floyd.

Roy was the greatest fighter of the last 50 years, possibly longer. He was one of the most entertaining fighters I've ever watched.

I love watching Floyd and even more so when he was at the lower weights, but Roy Jones was so ridiculously athletic it was unreal. Roy Jones is my favorite fighter of all time because we'll never see that mixture of speed, reflexes and power ever again.
