it's not secret that i'm not a fan of khan, and never really have been. i think he's a great talent but massively overrated and overprotected. he also shoot his mouth off too much.
my question is, people, especially state side, like khan, but are these people slowly turning against him due to his lack of balls and choice of fighters?
Yes or no?
I dont think he ever commanded the respect of hardcore fans, they know every fight he has, has an angle to it, which is, old, smaller, past best, no power, tailor made fighters.
I wouldn't say slowly.
this. though i think him and his handlers are, smartly, trying to extend his career on top out as long as possible.
every fight, everyone watching at home and in the arena are just waiting for that chin to get tapped at the wrong angle.
many fans expect that it's going to happen eventually and top fighters want to be the one to do it.
this is all stuff i have been saying for year - since limmond and gomez fights. brilliant at coming forward but clueless and shit scared when on the back foot.
people are changing their views.
hallelujah.
He knows Marquez is his ticket to becoming p4p king. I guarantee they'll put him in the top 5 if he KOs Marquez. I mean that's cool if he's okay with being a paper p4p fighter, but don't act like you want to fight all these champions and elite JWWs and then turn around the next day and say Marquez is your main focus and target guys like Murray and Casamayor. And has anyone noticed how he mentions Bradley and Ortiz but not Alexander?
he made a domestic name for himself as he turned pro fighting blown up featherweights in people like gomez and limmond.
this has been his makeup for years.
i thought/hoped it'd changed under golden boy.
