"I don't care if I lose, I just want to fight, let's do it 2 or 3 times, make some money and give the fans a good fight!" - Manny Pacquiao
Watching the JMM/Diaz fight, the commentators quoted Pac talking about how extremely disappointed he was over Mayweather deciding not to fight him.
It's clear as day that Pac is a true warrior and is devastated that the fight with Floyd never came to fruition. Pac doesn't give a fuk if he loses or not, he'll just fight the best he can and give the fans their money's worth. He's willing to put himself on the line and go to war as a true warrior should.
Floyd on the other hand.... I'm finding it harder and harder to understand how anyone can keep defending this guy?
Both R at Fault!
Manny kept the fight from happening the first time. Floyd the second time. Im a Mayweather fan, but as a true boxing fan I am really disappointed in both for not fighting each other. Pac is a great fighter and champion but just like Floyd, does not fight the best fighters available. Come on man, Margarito? I can't say much for Floyd either in this respect. Floyd did fight Mosley but the time off situation I find hard to understand. It's not like, Floyd is 25 or even 28 years old. HE's 33! I am confident that both these men will make this fight happen! Simply put, their is just too much money on the line. IT should be 50/50! Both hold the same importance in BOXING! I want to see them fight each other but outside of that I want to see them fight all the young strong Lions in or close to their division. Martinez, P.Will, Angulo, Berto, Kahn, Alexander, Bradley, Alvarez, Cotto with Emanuel Steward in his corner, Midana, Ortiz- these would all be compelling fights! The only problem is our 2 greatest stars don't seem too interested in fighting in fights were the money don't meet the risk! But I think that both Manny and Floyd would be surprised at how much money they cud get in these fights because WE the true boxing fans will always support them even when they let us DOWN! SAD BUT TRUE!
If any fans ignored all those media fuzz, we would see that nothing changed. Floyd definitely need a better promoting partner. He need a promoter who isn't afraid to take criticism, someone who isn't afraid to get his/her hands dirty, and Don King is that guy.
Nowadays this is impossible since we live in the internet age where everyone has access to everything online.
so be a "warrior" give floyd the lions gate, and full OSTing. take the fight and get that ass beat. i mean, since he dont care about losing since he will.
not like he has a choice, really
I'll quote myself again coz it applies to you:
"You can tell when someone has been brainwashed when they re-iterate mind numbing statements that have nothing to do with the subject at hand or to avoid the answer to a question that they already know but don't want to acknowledge."
Bullshit if pacquiao truly wanted that fight he would make it happen
if he honestly wanted the fight we would have seen Mayweather vs pacquiao I back in march
You can tell when someone has been brainwashed when they re-iterate mind numbing statements that have nothing to do with the subject at hand or to avoid the answer to a question that they already know but don't want to acknowledge.
i don't know what gacal and koncz gets paid.
roach does get 10%. that's pretty standard.
the gbp gets 5% from manny in addition to the 27% from arum is bullshit though.
not sure about the specifics between top rank and gbp , it changes depending on whether pacquiao is fighting a gbp fighter or not.
gbp gets their cut from arum's end though. the negotiated deal was between top rank and golden boy.
the 27% cut for arum is just a made up lie. that figure came from mayweather. he wouldn't know what pacquiao's deal is with arum. maybe that's what he was paying arum. who knows?
pacquiao signed with gbp and turned around and went back to arum. obviously he wouldn't do that if arum didn't offer him a better deal than golden boy.

What money? Almost 60% of his purse goes away. 27% for Arum, 10% for Roach. That's already 37%. You do the research on how much Gacal and Koncz get which is like 20%. Then the 5% that GBP has over Pacquiao. Do the math. That's what, 62%. Manny Pacquiao keeps only 38% of his purse.
Manny Pacquiao has the power and popularity to be his own boss and only pay off merely 20-30% of what he makes(Roach, Gacal, and Koncz) and keep 70% for himself. Instead he elects to get ripped off by Arum and can't get GBP off of his purse.
arum pays gbp out of his own end.
don't know about all your percentages either. don't care actually.
but the gbp thing is a deal between arum and gbp.
arum pays that himself out of his cut.
why do you think arum is so annoyed by that?
if it came from pacquiao , he wouldn't give a shit.

You're just regurgitating what Floyd tells you. You don't know what Arum and Pac's deal is, neither does Floyd. Start thinking for yourself and btw what does that have to do with this thread.

pac has only fought one catchweight fight, Floyd has fought one as well so, where's your logic in that?
^That's true and it was only because they were testing the waters to see if he could handle that weight division. It's a smart thing to do, same with the Margarito fight, Pac hasn't fought that high before so it makes sense to bring his opponent down a bit in order to feel out how he's going to go. Pac has all the leverage against Margs so it makes sense for him to use it.
i kind of blame both fighters, BUT, Floyd more. I blame Pac a little bit for not agreeing to the terms since the beginning, rather than late but you've got to blame Floyd for not accepting even after Pac agreed to testing, at least what Floyd had requested.
That's because Hatton agreed to took a lower split. Manny had more leverage, and he got what he asked for. He can't do the same to Floyd, that's why he and his team need the Media to try to force Floyd to agree to their demands.
Really? I'm pretty sure Hatton said the split was 50/50.
Bullshit. If he wasn't concerned about losing, how do you explain catch weights?
