Rumor Mill Coming Out Of Golden Boy Promotions Headquarters in Los Angeles:
- Mayweather has been very disappointed in the way GBP handled the negotiations with Top Rank. Apparently, GBP did not handle Arum's pressure-laden negotiations very well (according to Mayweather) that made Floyd look really bad in the press after the Top Rank negotiation deadline passed.
- Mayweather has met with Don King to see what he can do for Floyd. Floyd is looking for Don King to REBUILD his reputation IMMEDIATELY. Expect Don King to represent Floyd in some capacity at least initially, and then dump GBP at a later time.
- Al Haymon, Floyd’s business adviser, was upset about the Mayweather-King meeting. Haymon flew to Florida to meet with Floyd and advise him to sign any agreement with King because of Mayweather’s current agreement with GBP.
- GBP is very upset with Floyd’s recent actions especially his meeting with Don King. GBP feels that they have done everything they could for Mayweather to negotiate a fight with Pacquiao. However, Floyd’s lack of interest in the recent negotiations is confirming the belief that he simply does not want to fight Pacquiao. In the end, GBP has spent a lot of money and resources promoting Mayweather while not getting any return on their investment. All they have in their hands right now is a huge defamation lawsuit from Pacquiao GBP is expected to lose in the courts.
- GBP feels that Mayweather’s desire to work with Don King is not to negotiate a fight. Instead, Don King will represent Mayweather to rebuild his reputation and find a “legitimate” way to dodge Pacquiao.
When Barrera dumped Golden Boy and join Don King,
He lost by TKO to Amir Khan!
It would be much better for Pretty Boy, to organize his own Boxing Promotion
so he can easily control it in accordance to his temper, pride, his unpredictable modes and boastfulness!
Yeah mate. Just like this "poster" - me - is taking time out to reply with his opinion. Believe it or not, posters write their opinions and spread rumours too. Doesn't make them journalists.
It's not an article by the way. It's just a bulleted memorandum of fanciful bullshit.
I thought "you" the "poster" said this was probably written by some random poster? Am sure the TS took this opinionated article from somewhere and am sure it was written by a boxing journalist and if that's not the case It doesnt change the fact that its a BS written blog, article, memoir or whatever you want to call it.
A poster wrote this? A poster actually took time out to write a "Rumour based" opinionated article? Right?

What on earth are you on about? You don't know if it was a boxing journalist who started this thread. If it was they'd be writing it for their publication, not giving away their scoop for free. This was just some random, anonymous poster spreading bullshit on NSB. Pretty f...ing obvious too.

That's the biggest load of bullshit I've seen today.
If you can't make a return on investment after 2.4+ Million PPV buys, 2 $10+ Million gates, thousands of closed circuit tickets, sold out movie theathers, and sponsorship deals then business is not the right area for you.
And how the fukc are they expected to lose the Pacquiao defamation suit when no one representing GBP has alleged Pacquiao uses PEDs? Also, Pacquiao's lawyers have to prove there was malicious intent behind any comment made by a GBP representative or employee.
I can believe the first paragraph though...
why are you guys getting bent out of shape for?
surely it's a idea at least
i said to my friend a while back that i though King would have had the fight made by now so the fact that Mayweather is tweeting that he is chillin with Don King may have something behind it maybe they are talking business
or maybe they are just dinning on some big ass lobster and chillin like floyd said lol

Lol, It's just gets worse and worse with boxing journalist these days. It seem none of them have any credibility, Its scary the way they influence new fans with utter shit that they write, I dont know where the author of the article got all that information from unless he's Ellerbe or Mayweather himself.

They heard about Mayweather meeting with King and made a load of bollocks up.

Another dumb article that written and based on speculation.. When are boxing writers going to step up their credibility? Too many holes in this article for anyone to take it seriously.
