I'm seriously surprised how many "true" boxing fans are NOT talking about this fight. The first fight was off the chain, who cares if they are coming off of loses?
The under card is everything you can ask for. Named fighters, vets, contenders, it has it all. Almost all of these guys are punchers/exciting too!
You guys have been so busy talking about Floyd and Pac that you don't recognize the first complete PPV card we have had in a long time. A lot of you complain about what's wrong with boxing, when will there be a good PPV, why is no one fighting each other? This card represents everything that is good in boxing and I really hope people here support it or else this sport is in trouble.
This forum is suppose to be for real fans, and right now I don't see it.
I never knew the Fight of the Year can be a pointless rematch.
That fight was perfect. Ups and downs for both fighters, NO holding, no bullshit, non-stop action.
Old vs Young. We got to see the vet make mid fight adjustments and get a great KO.
But this is a pointless rematch? Diaz was winning for a good amount of that fight if you remember correctly.
If this is pointless than I can't even imagine what else is needed for a rematch. IMO it should of been an immediate rematch. Boxing fans here need to get back to boxing's roots. This card is great for any fan.
Sorry. I was super pumped for the 1st fight and even bought my parents tickets to the first fight because I couldn't make it. It was a great fight and probably the best money I've ever spent on them.
The Malignaggi losses are what really bring this fight down. No disrespect to Paulie, but after him seeing shut-out and stopped by Amir Khan, you only wonder what he would have done to Juan Diaz. He's fallen that far off. Beaten up by Nate Campbell, knocked out by Marquez, outboxed twice by Paulie. I'm not saying he's shot. But he's clearly not what we were all thinking he could be.
And Marquez, shutout by Mayweather (hey, it happens), but at his advanced age you wonder not only what he has left, but where exactly he's going to go after this fight win or lose. He's not going to beat any of the top guys at 140. 135 is still the option but really? Who else is there at 135?
When Diaz and Marquez fought their asses off the 1st time it was to see who would go on to a major PPV fight and to see if Marquez would continue with the torch or Diaz would take the torch for J.M.M. The torch isn't there anymore for either of them unfortunently.
The main event is not PPV level (both coming off one sided losses), and Guerrero and Linares will win easily. The only real interest for me is the Jacobs fight, and that is mostly because his opponent is an X factor.
A very overrated card IMO.
I agree 100%.

Yeah a lot of fights do, but they don't. I can see why it isn't though Marquez won rather easily towards the end in the last fight. Diaz did a good job in the beginning, but Marquez figured him out. Since Diaz probably won't change it up, Marquez could end this thing earlier. Since It's JMM fighting im excited though, plus the undercard looks good. So im thinking of hitting the theater for this one.
The undercard is way more intriguing than the main event. Diaz has no chance whatsoever. Plus it won't even live up to the hype of the first fight.
And it means nothing to the lightweight division since Marquez is done in a year, and Diaz has been done since February 2009.
It wouldn't matter anyway. I would become green in less than a week.
People appreciate quality and no amount of e-thuggery from self righteous pactards is gonna change that.
So call in your whores if thats the game you wanna play G man.My point exactly.
Pointless rematch for a ppv imo. I mean why is this a ppv when they are both coming off embarrassing losses? I say Marquez wins by ko again. Diaz fights the same way all the time.
No, it doesn't.
The first fight was great, but JMM ended up closing it out decisively. Diaz has done nothing since to indicate he can do any better. In fact, logic points to him getting beaten worse. Add to that the fact that JMM is coming off a shutout loss and it definitely doesn't deserve more hype.
That fight did over a million. Thanks to the vast fan support of El Senor Dinamita.
I know everything.I know I can turn you red and I know you'd say you don't mind at all.
Listen Pactardo, that first fight was close for 3 rounds. After which Dinamita figured out the angles, timing and space and proceed to push Diaz's shit straight up his 50% Mexican ass.
Re watch the fight and then write me report on it.
Only then, will I ever respond to your posts again.I'm alright, i'd rather wait for the rematch than listen to some self convinced wise man.
I was referring to the propaganda campaign known as 24/7 that was created to take the shit smell off boring Floyd Mayweather 12 round decisions.
HBO isn't pushing this fight the way the punk bitches I was referring to are used to.
If they were, it would do over a million buys.
Take that to the bank sucka.
Jesus I hope you're joking. Marquez couldn't do a million with a 24/7 and Floyd Mayweather. You seriously think this fight with Diaz would generate 1 million buys? Barring Mexican fans and boxing fans (who recognize a great undercard), who would buy this fight??
Diaz is done as a good fighter. I expect him to come out and show the great heart that he has always had by taking the fight to marquez. But marquez is gonna start picking him apart by the late 3rd round. marquez is too smart and skilled for diaz. marquez by KO in the 8th round in relatively easy fight for marquez after the 3rd round!
I'm surprised that so many members here thin that diaz got no chance at all. The first fight was close until that KO and people seeing same things happening again are either blind or pure huggers.
Thats cuz' there's a lot of sorry ass bitches on this site Addix.
Real fans know wassup and will make an occasion out of it.
Remember, most fans are dumb cunts who only move when HBO jerks their big Time Warner funded cocks and shoots their loads directly down their eagerly anticipating throats.
Much like anything else in life, real motherfuckers have a little thing called discernment. They know how to pick the right clothes, the right girl, the right liquor without P.Diddy, HBO, or anyone else telling them how to do it.
Thats how I'm able to tell who's a Real Man™ and who's a punk bitch.
Sadly, the world is full of punk bitches. And NSB ain't no different.
Isn't this an HBO PPV? I think I missed your point in that incoherent rant.
not exactly the most competitive fight in the world but it has a decent undercard and it's been a boring summer for boxing so I'm buying it or going to see it at theaters
