Who ya got? I'm thinking of laying some cash on Jacobs, but would like to know a bit more about Pirog and his style before making a big play. Jacobs is listed between a -175 to -125 favorite on most sites.
Up. What's any other of y'alls opinion on this fight? I also watched bits and pieces of Pirog on youtube, but can't come to a solid conclusion about him. I just can't see Golden Boy Promotions putting the Golden Child in with someone he could lose too considering they've been building him up for awhile and he's co-featuring his 1st major PPV. However, I guess it could turn out like Maidana-Ortiz. **** I'm lost on reading this fight lol.
I watched Jacobs-Smith last night and parts of Pirog-Jantuah, I was leaning toward Jacobs and still am.
I can't get a good gauge on Pirog, his pedigree (Russian middleweight title and a bunch of other regional titles) scares me because he's used to fighting the best from his region, shows maturity (he is 30 though so...).
I just like Jacobs boxing ability, stamina, and mental toughness. In 10 rounds he threw 888 punches and was on his toes boxing from the outside for most of the fight.

i'm in the exact same boat. Now you have the whole grandma's death thing to consider.
I'm excited about this fight.
You know, Pirog might just have a better resume than Jacobs so far, but Jacobs probably has more pop.
I think someone's getting knocked out.
