Antonio Margarito's co-manager Sergio Diaz has informed me that Tony has signed off on the bout agreement to meet Manny Pacquiao on November 13th
exact details shortly
Training- Winning 16/18oz gloves (he trains in 16s spars in 18s)
Fighting- Cleto Reyes
as far as Everlast's involvement in Tony we supply his trainer Robert Garcia with all his needs like mitts tape etc
we also have done warm ups for Tony in the past
he has actually trained in our MX and liked them he said they were more comfortable than the Reyes and feel the same impact wise
who knows maybe I get a shot but I am a professional and understand the importance of this fight for him
Yeah, I thought you mentioned this particular glove before. I hope he goes with the Easy E, man.
one fight license
Bob is already complaining about how CSAC did not add Tony to the August agenda so my guess is he goes back to NSAC, tells them that they are ignoring their requests for a reinstatement hearing, and asks for a one fight license allowing Tony to fight in Nevada while the CSAC hearing happens
Bob will get this fight in the US and Nevada would be dumb to let another Manny fight pass by them
Good points, but I still think it happens in Mexico.
How is that going to happen?

actually no and if he didn't I would be totally okay with it. This is his biggest fight to date and while I trust our MX glove if he stayed with his Reyes glove I would understand.
remember I have been part of their team for years now so sometimes I get information before others do
all: bout agreements are just that, an agreement to fight _______ on _____. Details like weight venue glove size etc are not included
something interesting I just thought of
if this fight is .0000001 lb over 147 they have to fight in 10oz gloves not matter the state or country
Tony has fought in them before, Manny hasn't
Nice, thanks for the info Eaner!
Great information Eaner.
Do you know if Monterrey is the only place in Mexico they might hold the fight in?
LOL at Margarito not even wanting to fight in Tijuana since mostly everyone hates him in his own hometown :lol1:
it's only been Monterrey and Abu Dabi is LOL
US or Mexico are the only two countries in the running
Out of curiousity, what kind of glove does Margarito prefer? Does Everlast do anything specific for him?

Hey E is there any way around the 10 oz gloves?
do you think it will make that much of a difference?
not that I know of
I mean in the end if say Texas or Nevada host the fight they might be able to petition the commission for an exemption but it brings out a whole can of worms I think neither side want to deal with as 147lb has always been the last division where 8s are allowed.
I know Nevada has a stipulation in place where if both sides agree to 8oz gloves then they fight in 8s but thats for 140 and 147, 154 has always been 10s

Very, very interesting detail, E.
I guess that means he's going to be wearing Everlast.
