At 150lbs, who has the upper hand. Pac or Marg?

It doesn't matter if it's at 147lbs, 150lbs, or the actual 154lbs, Margarito has a huge advantage because of his size. if it's for a title it does and you know it He's a real big man, he probably should be fighting above 160lbs. you really think this? bwahahahahaha his walk around weight is about 165-170 I really hope not, but i believe Manny is in real trouble this time. sort of how some of you, not saying you specifically, thought Clottey to be a legit threat because of his size? in fact from what I have seen Clottey rehydrates bigger than Tony so I don't see the issue about Tony's size when he fought a bigger man in Clottey

Easy poll. The only advantage Margarito has is getting a huge payday for anyone on his situation. Most cheaters of the sport get jail time and the cold shoulder from the Sport and the people they represent. Big time Pacquiao is always looking for an advantage to win a fight (learned from Oscar) and fighting a finished cheater like Margarito will prove nothing so there's no real advantage of beating this bum.

Not only that but he got the beating of his career, didn't fight for a year then had a fairly unimpressive win over a mediocre fighter. Total bullshit right here...... It's bullshit that this is even a title fight to begin with. Neither fighter has done anything around 154 to deserve a title shot and Marg got ktfo 2 fights ago. How this is for a vacant belt is a puzzle to me.

As an attraction fight the catchweight is fine. When it comes to title fights though its crap. I didn't like the catchweight in the Cotto fight either especially since Manny's ring weight was more than 145lbs on fight night. It doesnt take away from the win at all IMO but it does tarnish the title gained. Manny is good enough to beat guys without the catchweights anyway.

Once again, the problem lies with the sport itself. Catchweights have been taking place for decades. It didnt start with Pac. but when it's for a title it doesn't make it right just because it has Manny's name attached to it and I think that is the problem. So if a boxer has a certain advantage over a boxer they are allowed to request what might affect the boxer with the advantage? So if Amir Khan fights a big power puncher & with his jaw, is it reasonable to ask for the big power puncher to wear 14oz boxing gloves & not the 8oz power puncher gloves? I thought the point of going up in weight is to take the challenge of having disadvantages against you, not trying to minimal the danger much as you can. If you have many disadvantages against you in a certain weight class......DON'T FIGHT IN IT!! You seem to struggle with the basic principles in moving up in weight :nonono: The problem isnt Pac, Margarito, or catchweights. The problem is the sport of boxing itself and the sanctioning bodies. Day before way-in's are allowing boxers to cheat their weightclasses.

He walks in, takes a few pics, then says he is headed to his room for some rest. While waiting for the elevator he sits on a bench with his driver. The way he looked (slumped and dead tired) was really telling to me I even told his manager that he looked tired This is why they should bring back same day weigh-ins. Fighters will be lest reluctant to starve/dehydrate themselves.

Manny has his specific advantages.. speed & footwork.. but Margs power,size, stamina, workrate will will be hell for Manny.
