Is Wladamir Klitschko a ATG Heavyweight?

3 reasons hes NOT an ATG 1. Wherever you place him, you have to place Vitali one peg higher based on common opponents. If Wlad spends more than 8 rounds with Peter in September, then that pretty much wraps it up, Vitali is superior. 2. He has a garbage resume' in the weakest HW division of all time. Non-existant amateur program, and the new fighters are refusing to face off against one another. 3. ATG HW is top ten. Wlad has to somehow leapfrog all of these guys: Langford Dempsey Holyfield Johnson Lennox Joe Louis Marciano Tyson Frazier Foreman Holmes Tunney I just dont see it happening....

His longevity places him top ten if rank purely on resume, his skills and how he matches up head to head theoretically against other ATG's makes me think he should be higher. I will go to my grave knowing that Vitali was superior. Vitali doesn't have Wlad's speed, accuracy or athleticism but his chin, skills, awareness, and warrior spirit seperate the brothers. Wlad has the better career overall while I feel Vitali would batter Wlad had they ever encountered each other in their primes.

Of course he is. Especially when you consider how much better he's become.

His competition makes it impossible to give him the same standing as an Ali or even Lennox Lewis, but his skills along with his size and power make it obvious he would have been competitive in any era. Its blatant hating to suggest that the man isnt an ATG talent.

He has dominated the era more or less he has those horrendous loses so you have to mark him down a bit but he has been running shit for a minute so he deserves a spot at the table just not that close to the head of the table.

No. He only has 2 wins over any good HW's, rahman and a byrd. Other than that he mostly beat bums. But I will say this, it's not his fault nobody will step up to fight him right now. While I am not a HUGE Klitschko fan, you're not being fair at all. He has beated MANY undefeated fighters now. You're saying Chambers, Brock, and Peter aren't better than Rahman, and that is not factual whatsoever.

This is the all-time purest truth in Heavyweight boxing: Wlad makes all of his opponents look like bums while Ali fought real bums....

what makes haye a big name? his big mouth? haye was a crusierweight champion and a heavyweight champion. hes nobody jsut boxes different from normal hws and talk shit which is good thing. i voted yes because wlad dominates his division beats everyone fights everyone besides his bro which is ok. its not his fault his comp isnt anything special but who knows he prob would been as dominant in any era. i still think his bro is tougher and better

As of right now (no additional losses or wins), Wladimir might be able to squeeze in as a Top 20 ATG at Heavyweight.

He did define it. ATG Heavyweight, not P4P ATG regardless of weight classes. Is that a definition? ATG could refer to any topX number couldn't it? Or is it ATG hw = top10?

im a big wladimir fan man, but from an unbias standpoint - it is true he doesn't have any big names (outside of maybe haye) to put on his resume, but man, he is dominating so hard for several years now. i mean eventually you got to give him the credit for the sheer level of domination he has been displaying. he has barely dropped a round in the past several years, and he keeps dominating and clearing out the top ranked contenders. he has had a lot of shaky moments in his career, but unlike alot of fighters who get exposed - he came back better than ever. once tyson got beat down it was totally down hill from there, same with jones, etc... obviously there are fighters who have taken beatings to still go on with great careers, im just saying that wlad is dominating just as hard as any of the other guys seemingly would have.
