The Many Reasons to Boycott Pac-Marg

this goes to show there's o real punishment for cheating. Margarito will make more money in this fight than he would have in any fight(s) he would have had during year-long suspension.

I won't boycott because I love watching big fights. I will boycott if I happen to lose my job though. Buying PPV's depends on my income (as I'm sure it does for others)...

I really don't care that this is a catchweight and could care less about the belt. All I know is that Pac is known as a 'mexicutioner' and fighting Marg has the potential to be an exciting fight, especially since this will be a redemption fight for Marg and I'm sure would be much much better than Clottey.

The only people who say they are going to Boycott a fight are those that dont have the money to afford the $50 and probably never ordered a fight in thier life. They always watch unfocused streams that stop working every couple of seconds.

I'm only criticizing Top Rank and Margarito... Not against Pac, i love him dude... you don't need to worry about Pac, he'll be guaranteed millions..i just dont want Top Rank the large PPV numbers.. You shouldn't be afraid to criticize your favorite fighter man. Pac is just as responsible for this as Arum and Top Rank. If you feel its wrong just speak your peace and own up to it.

I am a pac fan.. (pinoy ako pwera biro..) but after browsing thru threads ive came to the realization that the upcoming Pac-Marg fight is a disgrace to boxing.. The only positive thing about the fight is that it has the possibility to be competitive and entertaining.. But other than that there's nothing much of praise surrounding the fight. - The fight is a catchweight.. that's fine, it's Manny and he can demand that being a lot shorter than Marg. but it will be for a Vacant Title and that what's make it TOTAL BS. and team Pacquiao already charades that it will be Pac's record-setting 8th division title.. I repeat i'm pinoy but it is RIDICULOUS to make a claim for an 8th title which you got from 4 pounds below the standard limit for that belt, and taking it from someone who is not a legitimate contender.. - Pac got this fight because he only has 2 fighters to choose from: Marg or Cotto.. this is in relation to Arum's in-house policy of his fights which all followers of boxing condemn. Pac should fight the best out there and Marg and Cotto are absolutely not the best. - Margarito, Arums mexico dog doesn't deserve this fight.. he doesn't deserve the BIG payday.. he doesn't deserve a title.. he doesn't deserve to step back in boxing for a long time. This is where i think Arum is the devil.. he knows this facts and he still keeps defending Marg, all just because of a fact that Marg is a RAIN-MAKER because of his Mexico following. He almost fought Mosley with loaded hand wraps and that makes me sick as hell.. - It's not Floyd-Pac.. I hope we can have an online fan petition to boycott this fight..I have seen the light... But still believe Floyd is scared of Pac..:boxing: This is the best reason to have the fight and invalidates every other reason against it. If you're a boxing fan - this fight is good.

Do you believe that Roach will allow Pac to fight Marg if he was not sure that Pac can win? Hell no, Roach knows that Marg without plaster will never beat Pac, it is almost impossible for this to happen. Watch Marg's last fight, Marg fought a bum and could not finish him, and his punches had no impact what so ever. Marg will try to box Pac like he did in his last fight b/c he knows he will get knocked out if he trades with Pac. Roach will not risk Pac against Marg if he thought Marg had a chance and ruin Pac vs. May next year. This is just a way of making some millions without the risk of Pac losing this fight. Everyone is making money and no risk for Pac. Marg is done, and everyone knows this.:boxing:

The only legitimate reason to boycott the bout is that Margarito should be in prison for attempted assault with a deadly weapon. The fight itself is another massive challenge in a long string of amazing challenges that Manny has taken on in his career. People act like it is some crime that the WBC is sanctioning this fight for it's worthless trinket. The WBC, the same corrupt organizations that was bankrupt 15 years ago by a lawsuit from Rochigianni for stripping him and reinstating Jones Jr as champ for no reason. The same organization that sells "medals" and catchweight silver belt "championships" to the highest bidders.See, you're a pretty bright dude when you talk boxing.

I hate this fight for many reasons. It’s hard for me to believe that Manny’s management would approve this fight. From an x and o’s standpoint this not good fight for Manny either. Maragarito is huge. Tall and big. I know Mosley destroyed him but that was a style and strength thing. Margarito could not back the physically stronger Mosley up. Plus Mosley hit him with a body shot in the 1st round that pretty much ended the fight. Watch it on youtube, you'll know what im talking about. I am not saying Manny won’t win , because I believe he will. But if Margarito is right this could be a bad fight for him. Manny is a sharp and angle puncher. Mosley is a thudding, dig your toes in the canvas puncher. I am not sure Manny’s punche’s will have the same effect on Margarito. Margarito may carry Manny really fast like he did Cotto. This fight is for Top Rank. These promoters are forming boxing leagues, where they are only allowing their fighters to fight opponents in their stables. Nobody can tell me, Berto or Bradley would not be a better option. Manny can silence the critics about him not fighting the slick urban black style. He could also give a respectable challenger a shot at him. And before anybody says Berto is managed by Haymon also, let me say this. Berto is the B side to a fight with Manny. He can not come with the demands that Floyd does. The fight will get made so much easier. They could pay Berto 4 million plus a small percentage of PPV and get the fight done just like that. The only good thing about this fight is now all of the other fighters who were lobbying and waiting , can go on with their careers and make meaningful fights. One last thing. I have always said Floyd Mayweather did not want to fight Manny Pacquiao. Every since I heard his father say, "I do not want my son to fight that man, it’s not worth it.” These negotiations were all bullshit both times. Now that Manny and company have taken away the blood testing excuses, Floyd wants to become inactive again. I am very humble when I am wrong. I admit it quickly and openly. It’s funny and hypocritical to me that Floyd’s backers, writers and fans a like still defend him. It’s not that Roger is not training him. It’s not that he needs a rest. It’s the animal from the Philippines with the lung capacity of a shark. If 40 million was on the table to fight Berto , do you guys think Floyd would want to chill and relax for another year? Hopefully Manny struggles against Margarito so the fight can get made. Floyd Mayweather is not a coward, but he has a less than noble make up, and somebody like that will never crack my all time top 10. You guys can have him.
