Does anybody esle remeber Paul Williams slapping up Sergio Martinez?

What fight were you watching? That fight was competitive the entire way through and I have no problem with someone saying Martinez won.

Martinez' side doesn't like the idea of fighting Williams again either. You can hear it in DiBella's words; he was complaining about two young, talented fighters basically ruining themselves against each other. But hey, it was a great, great fight and it would be great if we saw it again.

the current boxing world does not want to fight either of them. fellow boxers and promoters would prefer that they break each other down and then we'll see them getting fights with bigger names. when was the last time that people were ducking a lineal middleweight champion? boxers don't want to be world champions anymore? you have fighters screaming that they are the best in their division and then saying they won't step in the ring with paul williams? it's a different type of time than the boxing history books describe.

I'm not sure why everyone wants to rewrite history and pretend Martinez was "robbed" against Williams. It was a close fight that could've gone either way. And Williams finished the stronger fighter. It was a great fight, actually. I thought PW edged it and I look forward to a rematch. Anything can happen. Oh,you must be referring to the clip to the top of the head where Serg slipped more than fell from a punch. I also remember clearly that Martinez's face had a little swelling while Williams' face looked like it was butchered.
