im a big maidan fan, when i heard he was fightin chop chop, i thought ok is gunna be very 1sided but its only a tune up, after reading an article on fight hype i came to realise, this is a guy that was at the top of his game, probably never made much money and now hes just a journeyman, an opponent for up and coming fighters, when i found out hes looking after his dead brothers kids i thought shit man, this guy deserves better, maybe he could get a miracle against maidana, put him back in with some decent money fights once more. "It’s generally assumed that Corley is simply fighting for a pay cheque at this point in his career. He is responsible for the care of 14 children, including seven of his own and seven belonging to his dead brother. This explains why Corley is continuing to fight but doesn’t go very far in explaining why he is getting one more shot at a title by fighting Maidana."

I think taking care of 14 kids takes a tremendous amount of courage, especially in an age where many so called men don't handle the parenting role responsibly. We got mad love for Chop Chop! Good first post :fing02: If your not willing to take care of your dead brothers kids then this world don't need you, believe me we will be fine without you. Hopefully he has a good enough fight, entertaining, so that he gets another good fight/payday atleast. I might not go that far, but yeah, those dudes are scum. In most Hispanic countries, it'd be like a moral obligation, especially if he was killed. Even if you're already poor or y'all didn't even get along like that. Mothafukcers can't even take care of 1 of their own imagine 14, 7 not yours. Corley shouldn't be anything, but praised for his selflessness.

He only made about $100.000 vs Floyd, The guy has had to earn it the hard way and you can see it because he's fought alot of tough guys. Mayweather, Judah, Cotto, Witter and Alexander just to name a few. I hope he does well in the future, But against Maidana.... It will be difficult.

I didn't know about this, I remember hearing he had 7 from the Floyd fight but I didn't know he was looking after his brothers kids too, now I want him to get a payday too. Anyway, having 7 kids is stupid. I'll be good with one or two, preferably one. 7??? And it's not like he was ever a superstar and earned big paydays. Boxers like Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Wlad have the money to raise 14 kids kids but still you see them have a regular amount of kids 2-3. Well I don't know about Wlad, I don't think he has any kids. But still, Corley can not afford 7 kids. Noble of him to take in his dead brothers kids. but having 7 kids is stupid unless you're a multi millionaire or have some kind of business that allows you to live comfortably.
