i agree w/ dan that the fight w/ margo and cotto are less than scintillating. margo is coming of a beating and a 12 round decision against a nobody. cotto hasn't shown much improvement either since his beat down by pac.
but arum is willing to do this because it's good business for him. he'll take a hit in the pocketbook and on his reputation, but the calculated risk is acceptable. arum keeping it in house makes business sense for top rank.
but, if pwill, berto, and bradley want a shot at pac, I say put them in with clottey and see how they do. if they whup his ass worse than or equal to what pac did, then arum should make fights with them.
its damn funny how a pactards try to make pacs bs tailormade opponents credible by saying, other fighters shoudl fight them
sad
what a dumb ass.
the point of the thread is that pwill, berto, and bradley should fight clottey. if they can beat clottey convincingly and hopefully spectacularly then they should get a shot at pac.
fukkin flomos.
People underestimate Clottey.
He has a legitimate case when he says his first real loss was to Pacquiao. He was clearly winning against Margarito before he hurt his hand. Home crowd won cotto the fight between them. though it was a close fight anyways, could have been a draw. And he was leading on all cards(96-92 | 95-93 | 96-92) in the Baldomir fight before being DQ'ed in the 11th. For the Pacquiao fight he didn't have his trainer either.
He's big, fit, has excellent defense, good power and a great chin. He doesn't like to leave himself open though so if his opponent is active he has a tendency to shell up. When he does this he only really leaves himself open to hooks. He can be a one handed fighter at times. You need to out point him to win.
Williams would beat him. Not sure about the other two.
