PBF wont get credit for the Hatton, JMM, SSM wins...

uhhh because Hatton was a 140lb fighter, fighting away from home in Floyd's back yard with a crooked yank ref. Floyd deserves and gets no credit for any of those three wins, the young hungry Floyd was the one who took risks and didn't have the cards all stacked in his favour. The older, spoilt loud-mouth Mayweather deserves nothing but a kick up the ass for being a coward. lol ok Larry. Anyway, my view is that the young PBF was a great technical fighter who took risks and fought fair and is worthy of credit, the older 'Money' Mayweather who avoided nearly all risks and did everything in his power to protect the eg0 before he entered the ring, deserves little. Yes i agree PBF deserves credit for his earlier career. THats how he made a name for himself. But once he made the name, that is when he wanted less risks. He dont think he has to do anything to keep his name out there. He can make it easier for himself if he likes (by asking small fighters to step up with home advantage and words with bias refs) but dont shouldnt insult people intelligence by expecting people not to see through it.

floyd wasnt almost ko'd..almost knocked down yes...and shane was the top ww wba champ,#3 p4p..how the hell can he not get credit?? I know you don't like to hear it but if Shane didn't gas at the end of the 2nd Mayweather was getting KO'd, he was in deep trouble and was fortunate Mosley's old body had nothing left to give in the 3rd. Now, a question, do you think a younger version of Mosley would've gassed at the end of R.2? if not, then you'd have to say Mayweather was lucky to have fought a very post-prime Mosley.

Castillo, Judah, Corley, Corrales, De La Hoya etc these are the wins Floyd deserves credit for, after the De La Hoya fight he became risk-averse and started loading the dice in his favour outside the ring to minimise the threat he faced inside it.

hatton was a decent win at best, would have been a good win had he fought him at his natural weight jmm was a joke mosley was coming off a near 2 year lay off and 39. joke of a match up, but i suppose flomos need something to hang on to

If he won't get credit for JMM and SSM, on what basis was Floyd voted ESPN Fighter of the Year? (fan voting) On what basis was he voted Yahoo! Sports #1 p4p and Ring Magazine #2 p4p? (media voting) Sounds like both the media and fans respected those wins. It shows PBF has more fans than people believe. He has gotten credit for beating Hatton. But it is easy for his critics to discredit PBF for those wins, because he gave ammunition for it. But he wont get more credit for beating Hatton than Pac did.

He will get credit for beating Pac make no mistake about that, even though he didnt for hatton and JMM wins. It is not a lose lose situation considering the pandemonium in trying to arrange this fight. But if he does beat Pac, then maybe stepping up is only option left to him. IF, and its a big IF, he beats Pac, you could say all would be forgiven as regards his Hatton and JMM performances and they would be put into perspective. If he beat Pac very well, his critics would say, even if PBF didnt have home advantage and it was at 140 he would still have beaten Hatton. But at this minute not everyone is entirely convinced of it. I've heard that before. In the end, doesn't really matter to me. I hold his win over Oscar as a great win, his win over Mosley and Hatton as good wins. It's no coincidence that before Mosley stepped in the ring with Mayweather he had destroyed Margarito, then looked average against Mayweather. It's no coincidence that Oscar destroyed Mayorga, then looked good (actually) but was still handily beaten by Mayweather. This goes to show that Mayweather is at a different skill level. Also his win over Hatton was a good win, Hatton gave a good account of himself against Collazo who most had beating the current WBC champ, Berto. At the end of the day, Mayweather has a solid WW resume. Of course it could have been much better, but it's solid nontheless.

I excuse the JMM win because he was out of his depth moving up. Hatton & SSM are good wins, i cant take that away from him. Floyd is a legit fighter without any question, if you say otherwise you are a biased fanboy. SSM is a very good win.

You can hate him for a lot of things but his boxing ability is not one of them. So when he beats Pac then the boxing writers and fans will discredit that win then suggest that he fight someone bigger. It is a lose lose situation for him. But PBFs critics belittle PBF for fighting Hatton at 147 with home advantage and talk with the ref before the fight. IF PBF cares and dont want to be criticized he wont go far wrong by fighting and beating Pac.
