IMO i say yes, it would be easier to tell the difference between a good and a great fighter or between two great fighters that needed more than 12 round... What is your opinion on this
I wouldn't be surprised if people were asking to bring back the 20 rounders back when 15 was first announced. And before that the 30 rounders. And before that...
In my mind a great fighter gets the job done no matter the number of rounds. I do agree with another poster however that an odd number of rounds might lessen the number of draws.
I'd like to see this discussed by the history section peeps.
But I don't know. Theirs a lot of good and negatives. I swear to God though, I'm usually very open to watching any type of fight or fighting style no matter how ugly or dirty a fight gets just to appreciate somebodys style. But Im telling you right now, if it goes back to 15, thank god Ruiz is retired because if I have to see through a Ruiz fight for 15 round theirs no way in hell hahaha.
But it does give more rounds to finish a fight, not to mention it's a odd number so it's harder for draws. And for the 12 round wars that could go either way, we get 3 more rounds to see it getting duked out. And maybe it would help with the sense of urgency to finish a fight since maybe some people don't want to go that long and would rather finish?
I agree with you and 15 round of Ruiz would be bad:sleeping:

I would love them to change it back to 15 so stamina plays a bigger part in winning a fight, but it would cause fighters that struggle to go 12 (Cotto) massive problems.
