That is a tough fight for Floyd because for Floyd to win he would have to really fight on the inside. It would be interesting to see if Floyd could play the range game that way against Hearns and pull it off.
If Floyd ran he would lose and probably get knocked out, keeping your distance against a guy with superior range (who knows how to use it) is a recipe for disaster and Floyd is not a dumb fighter.
Still though Hearns is the much bigger man so he deserves to be the favorite but I don't think it would be impossible for Floyd to win.
Hypothetically if this fight did happen, floyd would get on a bike to avoid hearns jab, mayweather would probably sucker him into throwing big right hooks like mosley, which his game plan would be to take it away, he would use his footwork to force hearns to chase him, lock him up and beat him up on the inside,
hearns would have a hard time getting off agaisnt floyd
mayweather made one mistake by letting mosley hit him witha big right, he didnt go down, hearns is not in another league of knockout power than mosley is, regardless if you are living in the eighties and think that no one ever could beat anyone from that era, except robinson of course
Jeeeeeeeesus!!
Its not about people sucking Hearns balls, its about styles.
Floyds counters wouldnt work against Hearns who was too long, too fast and too powerful.
Floyd also would do shit on the inside as he would get hit coming in and Hearns is just too big and strong and lovely for Floyd to have any success with close.
Im surprised that people say Hearns was bad on the inside. It certainly wasnt his best spot, but the man had wickedly powerful body shots and could get good leverage on his shots despite being so lanky and tall.
The body punches he landed on Barkley before getting knocked out were alarming. Barkley was one tough bastard.
24 voted Mayweather to win and 1 said a draw. Unless joking, all of you need to be on everyone's ignore. Or just ban them and make it easier for everyone.

It's obviously a trick question guys, floyd would never agree to it. Hehe sorry had to take my little shot. Well to be honest Hearns was so big and he knew how to keep his opponents at a distance with his great jab. and we saw what a bigger older DLH's jab was able to do to floyd. it kept him in the fight until he started to gass and floyd just countered him at will. Prime hearns wouldn't have that problem and floyd would have trouble getting close enough to him to counter
anyone who knows first thing about boxing knows hearns would knock floyd out.
first let me get a few things straight..
1. hearns' right hand was not horribly timed against anyone, he had great timing with all his punches. when your fighting the likes of benitez, SRL and duran your bound to miss a few shots. he tagged all of them more than basicly any other fighter they ever fought.
2. hearns fought flatfooted when he was pressing the attack, so did floyd in his last fight. that doesnt mean eighter one of them is a flatfooted fighter in general. hearns often danced around the ring and was a master at using his feet to move in and out of range. anyone who thinks hes flatfooted havent seen alot of his fights and clearly dont know him as a fighter.
3. hearns did better against boxers than he did swarmers. nobody ever managed to outbox hearns and beat him with precision. SRL couldnt outbox him, benitez couldnt outbox him, hill couldnt outbox him. the times he lost were to guys like barkley and hagler who came in and attacked him furiously with punches in bunches. again u really dont know shit about hearns.
hearns would beat floyd easily, KO within 4. floyd wouldnt be able to outbox hearns bcuz of his handspeed and height. the way to beat floyd is with the jab, hearns would keep him at the end of the stick and rain in power shots. floyd wouldnt be able to get inside, the reach, handspeed and power would push him back. hearns would kill him.
also let me add how retarded it is saying hearns is overrated.
cuevas
duran
benitez
SRL
shuler
hill
minchillo
roldan
olajide
kinchen ETC
the mans resume was nothing short of incredible.
This right here this right here
The only weakeness Hearns had was that he would leave himself wide open to shots as he went for the big hits
mayweather would never expose that as mayweather is defensive and refuses to be open, if he is open, well you saw what happened in round 2 agai9nst mosley. Hearns by ko and this would not even be a close fight
Tommy Hearns is known for his signature punch, thats what made him the man
Mayweather is known for taking peoples signature punch away from them
mosley right hook, oscar left jab, short hatton body punches, marquez jabs and straights,
there is a reason that his opponents work rate drops to about half when they fight him
Mayweather would throw straight right hands down the pipe, force hearns to purse him with jabs, lock him up and work him in the pocket, then hed probably sucker hearns into throwing big right hands and punish him for them
tommy hearns punch output would be about half of what it normally is by round 6
Floyd coulnt get close enough to throw straight rights without getting tagged by Hearns jab and right hand.
At range its all Hearns, and even on the inside Hearns would be too big, strong and powerful for lil Floyd.
if mayweather and hearns fought 20 years ago, you guys wouldnt even remember hearns because thats how biased you are all
nostalgia doesnt not make great fighters god,
sugar robinson leonard ali,
duran hagler hearns were all good fighters, just because you have memories of their bouts doesnt make them invincible, they are all men
you could not sit here and say that hearns would destroy mayweather ina hypothetical fight because you really have no idea the circumstances of how it would take place, you just like to think of fighters of his era as golden gods
LOL
Ur just ranting little man.
If u think we cant say that Hearns would KO Floyd, then YOU cant say that Floyd would beat Hearns. And how stupid is that.??
Everyman is beatable, but Hearns style is all wrong for lil Floyd.
After reading these responses I remember why I try to stay out of NSB. Floyd doesnt stand much of a chance at all in this fight and people are picking him by KO? who has he KOd thats in the same league as Hearns? who has he fought with Hearns power? Floyd is a great fighter and possibly P4P better than Hearns but Hearns is just much bigger and stronger
This is the worst thread i have ever read. Hearns would never get in the ring with Floyd. Hearns ducked Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Tsyzu.
Floyd fought Haggler leonard duran etc. Oh wait a minute i am getting confused. not
It would end in the death of Floyd. Its the worst style possible for Floyd. It would end in about 3 rounds. His Power shots in huge numbers from distance would cripple floyd. i would love to see him shoulder roll that stuff.
Complete miss match
I think this fight would be alot closer than expected. Mayweather will exploit Hearn's biggest weaknesses; His Inside punching and his stamina/durability. He would still have to overcome Hearns hard punches and boxing skills. I guess Hearns SD.

AWWWWW look at the heartbroken Floyd nutthugger mad that everyone knows that Hearns would kill Floyd.
I mean Floyd stopping his right hook and winning in the INSIDE? Cmon when have we seen Floyd win it on the inside against one of the most dangerous punchers in history
I would pick Hearns by decision. But believe it or not, I think Floyd has the better chance to win by KO. Hearns had much better power, but Floyd has the better chin, defense, and legs to go the distance.
