i dont see why ricans think cotto is arrogant he seems quite the opposite. I think they hate him because he's americanized and lives in florida full time.
Everyone knows Cotto and mostly everyone watches minus the old people(65 years old and up). He'll never be like Tito because even the grandmas watched Tito fight.
Cotto is seen as an arrogant guy by most Puertoricans because he rarely smiles or even acknowledges them when he's at a bar, concert, or public place in general. He has also been labeled as a "drunk" by the majority, everyone knows about his stories of getting drunk during training camps(wether they're true or not). Many people dislike him although they support him during fight night.
Juanma, he's a level below Cotto. Many people know about him, the guy is always in the newspaper and on tv. But I don't think he's known by that slim percentage that don't follow sports, watch too much tv or read the newspapers daily.
He also hasn't had what you can call a BIG fight but with his personality he'll be bigger than Cotto.
Sure thing bro
This one of the songs he uses regularly in his training, he said in an interview that it makes him perform better.

No no, I'm saying in terms of popularity. Like boxers being as popular as Kobe, LeBron, and other famous athletes.
In terms of popularity, boxers in Puerto Rico are the equivalent of football players in the USA, sumo wrestlers in Japan, cricket players in India etc.
Youve got a better chance of becoming an idol if youre a boxer in PR, than becoming a baseball player, basketball player, etc.
Even prospects can fill up arenas.
When you talk about individual talent, most island ricans have gone(historically) to baseball.
Yadier Molina has got an arm like no other. Carlos Beltran is a 5 tool player.
I think when his career is over, Ivan Rodriguez will definetly go down as the best catcher in the history of baseball, and a top 10 at least all time player overall.
As for nuyoricans, its thanks to them we have stayed and will get better at basketball. Highlighted by the guy that plays for team USA Carmelo Anthony.
lol we got some good basketball players but they are too short for the NBA. So we just stick to boxing since they got weight classes.
