If that's the case, explain why he packs 50k fans in Germany. Someone must think he's exciting.
The only time he actually packed 50k fans was against Ruslan Chagaev and that was because of the fact Haye vs Wladimir was happening and everyone bought their tickets thinking Wlad is fighting Haye, but then Haye pulled out due to something in the contract.
I mean, just a year ago we were hearing about Arreola "saving the division" etc... and once Vitali dispatched him HBO no longer has anything to say about it.
If that is true I would love to see a real article that claimed Arreola was "saving the division", and not a thread started by a retarded person..
This won't help it. People getting in shape helps it. If more people showed as much dedication to the sport as the Klitschko's and Haye then there would be a lot more interesting fights.
David Haye shows no dedication to the sport of boxing.
By the time he fights again he will have had 3 fights in 2 years, not to mention he has made the entire Heavyweight Division look like sh*t with his blatant ducking.
I really can't think of another fighter in my lifetime who has had as much negative effect on the sport as David Haye.

My understanding is that although Showtime is interested in televising same-day taped coverage of Klitschko-Povetkin from Germany on Sept. 18 to pair with the possible Juan Manuel Lopez-Rafael Marquez featherweight title bout from Las Vegas, there is a problem. I'm told that Klitschko-Povetkin will likely land on Sept. 11 because the stadium K2 Promotions intends to put the fight on in won't be available on Sept. 18. K2 had been waiting on the release of the German soccer league schedules before it could finalize the date for the fight. If it lands on Sept. 11, Showtime, from what my sources tell me, can't accommodate the bout, which would probably push it pay-per-view in the United States.
All it would take to get all that interest back, even if only temporarily, is for Haye to stop bitching out and make a fight with either Wlad or Vitali.
if there were any decent heavyweights this wouldn't be happening, but, the public people are tired f watching out of shape guys throw one punch and hug and grapple.
it doesn't matter if one or two guys are talented and can fight, the whole division is shit and painful to watch. showtime was smart and hasn't had a HW fight for hot minute and their boxing programing has stepped up tremendously.
lets face it, if there were an dozen or even a half dozen exciting HW fighters, this wouldn't be happening, the fact of the matter is the division is complete shit as a whole.
people want to see action, they want to see skill, the want to see a give and take war; not lethargic, slow lumbering fighting, one punch and clinch, guys afraid to open up because they're afraid to get KO'd, so they fight over cautiously, get winded by the third round........... shit gets old, and i'm not just talking about american heavyweights who are the ring leaders of all this, but all heavyweights from all over the world fall into this category, minus a select few, and they tend to play to their level of competition.
there is no reason why wlad shouldn't be ko'ing everyone he fights and has fought recently within 6 rounds. there is no reason. it's really sad. and the same goes for all HW's.
all these guys are too big to be exciting, they're too slow, half skilled, barely in shape, have next to no conditioning, and only head hunt looking for one shot. thats not boxing if you ask me, that is a big guy looking to land a lucky shot.
the smaller weight classes rule over the HW's and will for the remainder of boxing's existence, UNTIL we have at least a half dozen HW's that box, stick and move, use a jab and combinations, and has ring generalship, coupled with good conditioning, and who go into the ring with the mindset of beating their opponent instead of landing a lucky shot.
the only HW that is worth his grain of salt is Vitali, he's the only one who lets his hands go and isnt afraid to get hit. he boxes, his in good condition, puts combo's together, jabs, and goes out there to beat the hell out of his opponents.
the only real HW fight worth watching would be vitali vs wlad, and they'll never do it, so fvck the HWs because the only real fight worth watching, we will never get to see.................. unless they get into a big bro lil bro kind of fight at a family reunion..................
The HW division is complete shit, has been since lennox left, and it was dying fast when he was still active.............
HW's are a side show now as far as i'm concerned.............. i'll just watch the fat guys at the local pub go at it if i want to see out of shape fat guys fight......
You still haven't explained why 50k people watch him fight in Germany. Someone doesn't find it boring.
german audience =/= American audience.
You're comparing apples with oranges here. :)
If that's the case, explain why he packs 50k fans in Germany. Someone must think he's exciting.
I would rather watch modern day Ali smack talk from his wheelchair than watch another Klitschko fight.
:haha:..........
I'd rather watch Ali talk then Wlad fight
KO ratio not necessarily = excitement. My eyes felt heavy even when watching his fight with peter.
So boring..........

So Wlad knocked every one of his opponents out with a jab?

You know you're boring when even your KO's are boring! There are times when Emmanual Steward even has to yell at him to step it up.
The Klitschko's have had plenty of support from U.S networks. Problem is, they fail to thrill the fans. They can have an opponent half their size, and with half thier skill set, yet they still choose to play it safe and jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab.................................
Nobody wants to see that crap!

Who the hell knocks tough chinned opponents out in the first round? Is this a joke? Does Haye knock HW's out in the first 5 rounds? I mean come on. Does Floyd, heck does Pacquiao knock tough chinned guys out in the first round?
HBO also isnt the "biggest and richest" network, in fact ESPN would have a much better claim to that being apart of the Disney empire. How can you blame the Klitschko's for not being popular when they dont get supported.

I didn't say, "knock out", I said dropped.
And Mayweathers not known for being exciting. Pacquiao on the other hand is, he dropped Hatton twice in the first.
Ok, HBO is "one of" the biggest networks, your just being picky now.
I see you also hate Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
Read the quote below.
LOL @ Dumb mother ****ers not knowin the difference between heavyweights and welterweights.
Heavyweights are expected to deliver excitement, since boxing started...because of the one punch factor.
Thanks, just what I was going to say :)
not surprised at all. the klitschkos are boring, they wont fight each other, theres only 2 fights that would have any real intrest which is haye against the brothers. the rest of the division is piss poor. and the so called true champion of the division, wlad, could cure insomnia. great advert for the casual fans ay?!!!! And i bet if haye does come out of hiding and fight 1 of them, the press conference will be better than the fight.
Klitschkos are destroying boxing with their boring, safety first styles.
I've said all along they are a disgrace, this just proves it further, they are so boring even the BIGGEST, RICHEST network in America doesn't want to screen their fights.
Get rid of them, I miss the days of exciting heavyweight title fights. Atleast Hayes bringing some exciting title fights now.
I mean, when was the last time a Klitschko dropped a tough chinned opponent in the first round?
So getting rid of the Klitschko brothers is going to help by eliminating the 2 best fighters in the world? You really want to see Eddie Chambers UD everyone else? That's what you just asked for.
