Flomos understanding about the skills in boxing.
1. first you must be a black
2. good at running around in the ring
3. pot shots your opponent to death
4. wait....wait and wait your opponent to punch first
I completely agree. It's why guys like No Ceilings and the rest of that crowd love guys like Andre Dirrell too. They even think he'd beat Andre Ward, notice Ward doesn't fit the criteria, because Ward actually fights sometimes.
If you like soccer, i'd ask you this one: who's more skilled? Okocha or Riquelme? Okocha was more impressive skillwise but less effective.
Judah exibits more precise and crisper punches than Pacquiao. His stance and basics were way better but Pacquiao is stronger mentally and always got the job done. So it's a hard one but i'd pick Judah even though i think Pacquiao is the better fighter.
Judah exhibits those punches about 3 or 4 times in a championships fight. Look at the Cotto fight. I don't think you can argue that Judah is better skilled. Look at the results. Judah didn't knock Cotto down, he barely hurt him. Pac knocked him down twice on REAL knockdowns.
You don't think it takes skill to hit your opponents with speed and power at crazy ass angles with multiple punch combos? You look at it as a weakness but thats how his fighting style has been since he started boxing. He can box while moving backwards, side to side, or off-balance, while hitting you with power and speed. He isn't your average boxer who needs to have the right footing before striking a punch.
His style made DLH quit, Hatton sleep, Cotto run, Clottey hide. Made them look like amateurs. :peeright:
Exactly. Pacquiao is hundreds of times more skilled. Judah just has basic streetfighting instincts. Just like roy Jones. Is Jones more skilled than Bernard Hopkins? Joe Calzaghe? HELL NO. that showed once Jones lost his athleticism. Jones has the skill of an amateur.
Judah is an amateur compared to Pacquiao, Pac would make Judah look like one of those tomato cans on FNF, just like he did Hatton.

I wasn't serious. I was just ignoring all of Mayweather's skill like you are Pacquiao.
Apparently you missed the Cotto fight, where Pacquiao took away Cotto's jab, despite everyone pretending he didn't. Or when he threw two perfect punches at the right time to score knockdowns. Perhaps you missed the second Marquez fight, where he scored a knockdown off of counter punching. Apparently you don't pay attention, and just dismiss Pacquiao's footwork, lateral movement, counter punching, the way he sets up punches, etc.
So I'm going to ignore Mayweather's skill too. All he does is duck under punches and run. No skill involved.
He didnt take his away his jab. After Cotto got hit in the second round he wasnt the same anymore. He got off the gameplan and started running.
Hes a good fighter. Hes not as good as NSB makes him out to be.
Hearing him mentioned with guys like Calderon, Floyd, Hopkins, Roy, Toney, Sweet Pea and other skilled fighters is a joke.
Name ONE fight where Floyd ran around the ring the whole fight?
I have his career set so I mustve missed it.
Ricky Hatton has footwork bo.
"Knows when to throw"?? All Pac does is throw.
Hes not a good counter puncher.

Yeah, because he doesn't have footwork, or know when to throw punches, or know how to counterpunch, or anything like that. And Mayweather just runs around a ring, no skill involved.

I changed my mind. I vote Pacquiao.
He throws a bunch of punches really fast all fight long.
Hes so skilled. Hes only easy as hell to hit because he throws so much if he didnt throw so much hed be great defensively too.
:pat:

yap! i'm very sure of it, pac will beat floyd. if u want to bet i will give u a 2:1 odds. pac over mayweather if ever the fight happen.
Deal.
I got 3 Million on Floyd Mayweather.
I win you pay me 6 Mil.
Judah had his heart and skills in the right place, no doubt about it. He would hurt Pac in the early rounds but the mental picture of him being knocked out by Pac may well be his undoing. He would have to overcome that deficiency if he were to beat Pac...skills-wise.
So you are saying Pac will beat Floyd with ease? Man after that fight there will be alot of depressed posters on here when they realize Pac was never good enough to beat Floyd.
