I noticed alot of it during Mayweather-Mosley, In the press conference Floyd said he was saying stuff like "Stop holding" and "Your jab isnt faster than mine, If it is let me see" and Mosley was talking alot back too. Where do you stand on it? Is it a good idea? Or should they just stick to the job at hand?
Iv'e noticed it in alot of fights, A few day's ago I watched Jorge Arce vs Rosendo Alvarez and the HBO team said Arce was saying "My girlfriend hits me harder than you" lol. If I was a boxer I dont think I would do it but it makes the fights more entertaining when you are watching them. I feel it also gets in the opponents head, Especially when you are winning the fight easily. It's clear that Alvarez wasnt the same fighter he was when he fought Ricardo Lopez but he was still good, When Arce started talking to him he seemed to be breaking down mentally. Not too long after he got hit with a body shot and decided that he didnt want to get up.
Where do you stand on talking to your opponent in boxing? Or let me know of any other fights when this happened, It makes them more interesting to watch lol.
A good idea or not?
I don't mind that at all.
I hate the dudes that bark with every punch like Lamont Peterson and Omar Henry though.
Ok yeah we get it guys, you hit the other guy.
Antwone smith lol
round 5--lol---and what made it even funnier was, he looked like he spit a bunch of shit on floyd's lip---lol---it's ironic though---zab waits until he starts losing rounds to start talking shit---floyd opened zab up, made zab do some tribal stance and shit with his arms to throw him off-lmao----larry merchant summed it up perfectly----
In some instances I agree with shit talking while fighting but I think what Judah did was stupid. Floyd was making him weak with his body punching and then Zab started talking to him and waving his arms like an idiot. This was stupid because it proberbly made him even more tired and worn out, When it got him nowhere. I think Mayweather would have stopped him if he wasnt hit low.
that shit kinda cracked me up when judah called mayweather a bitch at the end of one of the middle rounds in that fightround 5--lol---and what made it even funnier was, he looked like he spit a bunch of shit on floyd's lip---lol---it's ironic though---zab waits until he starts losing rounds to start talking shit---floyd opened zab up, made zab do some tribal stance and shit with his arms to throw him off-lmao----larry merchant summed it up perfectly----
I dislike that too, People who make a moan/groan noise when they punch. Devon Alexander did this alot in his fight with DeMarcus Corley but I think he is trying to cut it out now.
I'm not against boxers talking to each other during fights, It can work well. Especially if you are winning. Like I said before, In the Arce/Alvarez fight I think what Arce was saying made Alvarez break down mentally. And when he got dropped with a body shot, He didnt want to get up.
Botha had a habit of this...its like he was constipated during every fight
I like a bit of trash talk as long as it doesn't get out of hand. When Mayweather started yelling at Shane, I really got into it. Because Shane had been talking all the shit about how his jab was too much and all and Mayweather just says "show me your jab! come on, show me that jab!" Shane threw it and got hit in the ****in mouth, it was priceless.

LOL. He was doing that in the late rounds too, Floyd was beating him up and rather than throw punches Judah would elect to call him a "bitch" instead. I thought it was funny, But then Judah realised it wasnt working at all and decided to hit him in the balls.
I don't mind that at all.

it's funny...Jesse ferguson during his upset of ray mercer."ray, ray you didn't train too hard did you?".later in the fight it's alleged that ray offered him$100000 to take a dive.he didn't & he beat ray.ray lost millions of dollars because he had a fight set with bowe for the world title.bowe instead gave the most undeserving title shot EVER to ferguson...bowe embarrassed himself by avoiding everyone in the top 50 to give Jesse the fight.
