Probably Escalante-Roman but there really hasn't been a fight that has stood out this year yet, Escalante-Roman would have been an honorable mention last year.
Escalante-Roman
Not only cause it was an entertaining back n forth fight. It had a story, both of them had beef with each other as kids. They fought in the streets as kids and met again in the ring so that helped as well.
Bearing in mind that these are only fights that I've seen. Many of those mentioned above I've yet to watch, so my list may well change.
Martinez-Pavlik is a good one, too. Not the closest of fights, but it was great action from beginning to end.
Not much from which to pick, but my candidates are...
Mares-Perez
Kessler-Froch
Adamek-Arreola
I think Nashiro-Cazares II is better than Kessler-Froch and Adamek-Arreola.
Haven't got around to watching Lazarte-Tamara and Ikehara-Fuentes, heard they were good scraps.
Shit, sounds like I need to watch this Escalante-Roman fight. Never even heard of them...
Yeah, as of right now it's a clear front runner for FOTY. A real slugfest.
The fact that it was an ESPN FNF fight and Roman was seen as a fringe contender will hurt its chances, even though Escalante is a legit contender.
