I know a lot of my comments have been very negative in regards to Floyd behavior over the negotiating demands but honestly why is everyone looking just to blame only one fighter for this mess? Stop being a fan boy and open your eyes to a 100% fact about the negotiations. Both are at fault! Pac and his team for being so damn wishy washy about everything and Floyd and his team for putting on a completely meaningless show that backfired in their face. Pac also needs to be faulted for not having his team all on the same page and Floyd should also be faulted for underestimating just how much weight Pac's name would carry in the negotiating process.
Sorry guys but trying to convince everyone that only one of these fighters is to blame is beyound stupid. And even if you were to convince the whole world that one fighter is to blame if the fight falls apart again then you need to realize that it doesn't give them another W on their records. It only gives the "fans" another L on their record.
floyd compromised more than pac back in december and pac still walked. so how is it both of their faults?
at some point in time, fingers have to be pointed at the guy who actaully walked away. especially when pac is now wanted to accept the terms he orginally walked away from that are no longer on the table, might i add
saying its "both of their faults" is a copout
this time around, floyd holds all the cards, he doesnt have to compromise.
The post that you're responding to was making reference to someone's point that the defamation lawsuit is both of their fault ... i.e. Floyd and company for making statements, and Pac for filing the suit.
but again, they talk more about fighting cotto and marg. than floyd.
so its shows they are more interested in fighting someone within their own stable than fighting floyd. then they are trying to say floyd is holding up negotiations. that floyd is the trouble maker or whatever when floyd hasnt said not a word, even his team is silent.
team pac think they are cleaver/smart and they really arent the brightest stars in the sky. actaully, the dimmest
Maybe that's why Arum is talking up a storm as these two fighters as a first option because of the negotiations on Floyd's part being so silent. I can't fault Floyd for that because negotiations shouldn't have been so public in the first place.
That said, negotiations from BOTH parties should have not dragged out so long because of inability to agree to details of a contract.
I think both are acting on a pre-Madonna whim and holding the fans sentiment captive.
I'm mad at both men and both camps. I have been for a while. I'm somewhat on Mayweather's side, but really that's only because I was a pretty big fan of his (although he's forced me to not be as much anymore) and I had never really been a fan of Pac.
the problem is that hes looking at those "other option" moer like they are the first option.
also, people need to start faulting pac instead of arum at times. arum works for pac, pac can tell arum to cut the shit out but chooses not to
You get no argument from me in that regard, but hey, with this much money involved a promoter needs to milk the hype for what it's worth and have a stand-by option available. In this case it's two fighters from his own stable who wouldn't make any bones in signing the dotted line in the event that plan "A" (Floyd fight) doesn't come about.
I think that blaming Arum for being a sleazy promoter is like blaming a King Cobra for being a King Cobra. It's kind of a requirement if you want to succeed as a promoter in boxing.
Seriously which boxing promoter isn't a sleaze bag buissnessman who tries to screw evryone else and lie as much as possiable?
Come on guys stop looking for a scapegoat so your fighter can look squeeky clean.
And, not that I'm siding with Arum because I think he's just as low as any other promoter but people really shouldn't fault him for looking at other options if this fight doesn't fall through. It's what promoters do.
And, it just so happens that his promotional company holds the deck of cards regarding talent/ PPV draws, therefore look how much easier it would be to bring two fighters of his own promotional stable to agree to terms as suppose to another promoter chiming in to agree to their terms.
because talking smack/shit, accusing, smearing, degrading, prejudice, slandering and ripping on one boxer over the internet is just so much fun
e-thugs and keyboard warriors FTW!!!!! :)
yup this man is the devil. out of everyone i think hes the main obstickale

On a serious note, if the fight doesn't get made then boxing history could always look back and lable this incedent "The fight that never was" and boxing would still produce great stars with or without Manny and Floyd.
Cause to most fans its easy to blame one or even both without even reading the contracts. Same thing when a boxer claims an injury, he is automatically labled a ducker. Not thinking about the beef going on behind the scenes with payments, marketing, and such. Fans are simple
Well said!
I guess we can agree that diva-ism is a disease plagued by both fighters.
Oh yes I agree! Behind all that humble im a peoples fighter shit Pac is just as arrogent as Floyd.
