The moment Floyd beat Shane, the drums started to beat for a Pac showdown. When the prospect of that fight hitting a few snags over the terms began to gain steam, names like Martinez and Paul Williams became the concensus choice as viable opponents for Floyd to prove his mettle. Now on the other hand, the Fighter of the Decade and pound for pound king at welterweight get to walk around openly touting Cotto and Margarito as backup opponents. Why the double standard? If Floyd chose to fight a guy that Pac destroyed or that Shane destroyed as his next opponent, the avatars with Floyd's face photoshopped on a bucket of chicken would be in full effect.
While arguing against Floyd and accepting lesser expectations from Manny, do Pac fans subconsciously admit that Floyd is on another (higher) level than Manny?

those names (martinez/williams) were thrown in during an interview, not necessarily plans that team mayweather were looking to make in the future themselves, besides, mayweather didnt seem to show any interest in any of those matchups when asked about future fights with those guys...
besides, mayweather looked bigger to me than when he fought marquez, and i guess thats why names like martinez and williams were thrown in the mix as possible future fights for mayweather.
how did mayweather get that big?
Manny is lightweight fighting way over his natural weight class. Floyd is a 100% true welterweight.
It's really not that difficult to rationalize.
Pac's been fighting at this weight about the same amount of time Floyd had when he was beating Zab and Baldomir and everyone was jumping on him for not fighting the "bigger" more "dangerous" welterweights. Not to mention, Floyd is not Andre Berto. He's not a 160 pounder cutting down to 147. He came up in weight too.
By the way, the double standard is because some people are DESPERATE to see Mayweather lose that is why people watches closely who he chooses to fight and how he fights, if he beats Pacman then they will say fight Martinez, if he beats Martinez they will say fight Paul Williams (mind you none of these guys are even in his original division), that once the learn the hard way that size advantage means absolutely nothing against Mayweather, they are going to want him to come all the way back down and fight younger guys like Berto, Khan, Bradley and Alexander, so even if he beats Pacman the hate and the double standard won't stop
you can't tell someone who is undefeated and one of the best today how he should or shouldn't fight, that is why I think it is funny when people say "he should do this or that" as if he needs advise from some out of shape guy giving his unworthy opinions on the internet, Mayweather don't have to change ANYTHING he does, your boxing to win and if the fight just so happen to be entertaining then good for the fans but it is no way a fighter should think "Entertain The Fans 1st, Then Win 2nd", AS A FAN we watch to Find entertainment out of what they do
Entertaining is a priority when your trying to reach that level Mayweather is at now but once you are there, IT IS ALL ABOUT WINNING to remain at that level
Im not gonna make it into a daily meal, I'll it a salad before hand. I work out every night so it wont be a problem.
this make you good to go
