Like how Shane Mosley is at the end of his career. That was legit?
or Juan Manuel Marquez was coming up two weight divisions, and still got cheated at the scales?
Hatton is the only name you can't rip up. Oh wait, we can.
Hatton was never really a welterweight and would have gotten served by every other premier welter.
Floyd is a sissy who won't fight anyone in their prime in the last 5 years at welterweight.
Hes a phony and owes his entire "Money" persona to De La Hoya.

at least mosley is still fighting. walcott and louis last literaly fights were against marciano.
all the rest doesnt matter and is off topic. floyd has fought better fighters that were also in their prime. not floyd fault mosley ducked him for 10+ years.
marciano fought in an era where fights were constantly fixed. at least floyd beat his opposition for real. hatton was undefeated, judah was top dog regardless of the baldi hiccup. come on suckah.......your entire game plan is weak sauce.
Shhh.
Floyd said hes the greatest because he never lost.
I'm just showing Floyd someone with a better record.
Marciano>>>Floyd.
You can't change facts.
u think floyd is reading this?
yes marciano has a better record, but that doesnt mean he has a better resume, has achieved more or is a better fighter. we all know marciano has a better record, your not showing anyone something new. the only fact here is that u dont know shit about boxing. stop making a fool out of yourself, i know its just the internet but even that has its limits.
stop trolling man. there are several arguments that can be made as to why marciano was a better fighter than floyd, but that he won 8 more fights isnt one of them. all u are doing is hurting your own cause and embarassing yourself by showing how little u know about boxing.
whats better? beating sugar ray robinson once or some bum on a corner twice? numbers dont lie so i guess two bums is better.
ray leonard had 30 something wins with 3 losses and a draw, which was really a loss he even says so himself. if numbers simply dont lie i guess u will gladly admitt floyd mayweather jr is a much greater fighter than ray leonard, your words not mine.

what bigger oponents? the former MW ezzard charles, former Lt.HWs moore and walcott? or do u mean the natural HW, but completely washed up joe louis? i guess u mean roland lastarza lol.
as for the record yes marciano has 8 (as of now) more wins, but if u consider what eras they fought in floyds record is acctually more impressive. marciano started at the bottom of the ranks and alot more of those 49 victims are bums, then the 41 victims on floyds resume. floyd had his first title fight in like his 18th fight or something, against genaro hernandez.
KO percentage? i know u are not gonna try that hard to discredit someone..
marciano did fight in a tougher era, but how long was he on top? compared to floyd not long at all. that needs to be mentioned aswell.
PED's? come on dude.. your post was clearly based on bias and ignorance as it is but this is just self sabotage, u took away all credibility from yourself without making any valid point at all.

Fact.
Nothing anyone says can change that.
Better record, fought bigger opponents, higher KO%, fought in a tougher era, didn't use PEDs.

im a big marciano fan and no fan of floyd at all, but at this point it's pretty close. I'd give floyd a slight advantage, but a win over pac would solidify it for me.
Seems like a lot of people want to hate on floyd (and for some very good reasons), but lets be realistic. Hate floyd all you want (i do) but give him the resoect he deserves as a great fighter.

I don't see Floyd fighting 9 more times against sub par competition. If hes gunning for the perfect 50, hes going to have a face a legit fighter in their prime. No way around that.

You must be kidding. I have by far the most experience of any poster on this site. I don't mean that I KNOW more, but, I doubt that I know much less. I was around during the whole Marciano career days, and saw many of his fights as they happened. My recollection of the Moore fight has been supported by the accounts of many boxing writers, whom you can look up-if you care to.
I was boxing then and a very keen enthusiast. So, PLEASE don't make unwarranted assumptions.
As far as Marciano is concerned, the Boxrec record paints a good picture of his career, but, you have to do what I did. That was to look at all the opponents, AT THEIR records, and often the records of the opponents opponents. I recall many of those fights, I also have Ring, and other boxing magazines of those days and I can tell you that Marciano did not have the hordes of ignorant admirers as we have today. The conditions of some of his opponents was pitiful, reminiscent of those bed cases of Sam Peter, who had to be helped along the aisle, half carried into the ring, and propped up at a cornerpost until the bell rang, so that he could rush over hit them on the backs of their necks and proudly claim another "KO."
I have an interview of Marciano by Nat Loubet, in which Marciano solidly declared that he was still learning, and intented to fight on for several more years (something like Lennox Lewis's phony boasting BEFORE the Klitschko fight) Lo and behold, within a couple of weeks Floyd Patterson had another sweeping victory, and as everyone had been talking for months about his inevitable collision with Marciano, it was a surprise to all (?) when Marciano announced his retirement a very short wjhile later.
I stand by my Marciano comments, and the proof is there for you, or anyone to see.
Having had another look at my post, it seems that it could be construed as being critical of yours, but in fact, since you accept my comments, it is just explanatory. I chose some very ambiguous terms and sentences. So please accept my thanks for seeing that I did indeed dig deep, and that my comments bear the stamp of truth without the "windy nothings" posted by so many others.
Floyd stan logic.
Basing your opinion off of whats merely on the surface without digging any deeper, the reason why so many spout that "numbers" line I threw at you.
Example, you dug deep into the career of RM without just glossing over the record and taking it at face value.

If you'll notice, I said the season itself was boring because of the lack of drama most nights. The outcome was just a formality. In the days of Smush and Kwame, it was entirely unknown as to whether the team would win.
lol @ questioning my fandom because I found this particular regular season boring.
If I wasn't a serious Laker fan, why do I have the Laker banner in my sig?
Btw, if you don't like my threads,
you can always take your black ass out.
LMAO at the last line.
I think this is the second paradox-like thread I've seen you make (Floyd being on PEDs being the first) and I've gotta say both times you've had the PBF nuthuggers on queer street LOL
If you were more excited about watching the Lakers when we had Kwame & Smush I seriously doubt you are a serious Laker fan. Stop hating on Floyd Mayweather 1 moment & appreciate the PAYBACK-TO-BACK titles the Lakers just put down.

No ****ing doubt.
They know the regular season is important, but its not what defines a champion.
This season was honestly the most boring I have ever watched. I was telling my homie the other day that it was more exciting watching the regular season when the Lakers had Kwame and Smush because you had no idea if they were going to win.
This season was just one long drag out until the playoffs.

Last I checked, Kobes not retired and gets compared to Mike every single day by haters and lovers alike.
Thats your opinon. The only people I know still talking about Michael Jordan & comparing him to Kobe are the haters. However in a lot of ways Kobe & Floyd are alike. 2 Champion Black athletes on the top of their game with haters everywhere.
Yeah I think the solidarity of keeping bynum would help next year too with all the trades being made across the league but Bynum needs to have a better year injury wise for them to get it done too. Shit Kobe and Gasol need to have a better year as well. They were fortunate to have home court advantage throughout the playoffs. The fact that they still won the west with Gasol and Bynum sitting out 10+ games and Kobe playing injured all through just shows how impressive the Lakers organization is. Consummate professionals from the players to the training and medical staff.
No ****ing doubt.

lol, I just hope they don't make any trades like those that are being talked about right now. Drew for Bosh.
Even with injuries, Bynum makes his presence known. I don't see that in Bosh. At this point, all thats needed is a good defensive point. A true point guard isn't necessary in the triangle, just a serviceable one.
BJ Armstrong
Ron Harper
Derek Fisher
All champions within the triangle. Of course, the majority of credit goes to the stars of their teams, but they played their roles well.
And as far as the Point guard position I agree completely.
