Floyd's "Safety First" mentality pisses me off

let me get this right and I truly think I understand the mentality of todays "Boxing Fans" so a guy that gets punched in the head A LOT and have absolutely no defense or head movement is entertaining, but the guy that chooses to use him skills and his advantage over his opponent is "A Runner" "Scared" and all that other stuff? EXAMPLE: Last week people was saying "John Duddy has heart?" because he was getting his ass kicked because he is too slow to move his had and absolutely NO DEFENSE? HOW IN THE F*CK does that show "HEART"? John Duddy was f*ckin stupid in the way he fought against Chavez that has nothing to do with Heart WOW this shows me how f*ckin stupid some of todays boxing fans are lol getting hit is good and not getting hit is bad lol If you are way up on the scorecards why would you do something stupid to risk getting the win...ESPECIALLY if your fighting the type of fighter that can turn a fight around with 1 punch...oh yeah right "to entertain the fans" lol

Who coined the phrase "Safety First" and applied it to Floyd's style? First off, I don't think there's an active fighter that has more lineal champions on his resume than Floyd. If I'm wrong, I'll gladly accept that. So, I don't get how his opposition can be clowned. Like Roy said....Y'all Must've Forgot...."they say I ain't fought nobody, I just make 'em look like nobody." They're all threats and formidable until Floyd make them all look the same. Stop hating. Secondly, the most confusing thing of all his how people call his fighting style "cowardly". You know how brave you have to be to rely on tucking your chin and turning your shoulder while your opponent is trying to knock your head off. The trust this style on defense is one thing, but to do it as a counter puncher, thus keeping your eyes open (unlike the head first guys that close there eyes ala Cotto, Pac, and Shane). Watch how he counter jabs and witness his mastery of simple things in the ring like range, position, punch setup, etc. The jabs are mere inches away from his face and he doesn't get hit, but lands counter rights all night long. I can do without some of his antics as I get older because I have kids and I've gotten more conservative to such things as language and so on. But I'm a fan of boxing, not boxers. It's mindboggling how little respect he gets on here for his sheer boxing ability and skill set.

First and foremost, stop pretending you are a Floyd fan. There is no such thing as a safety first style in boxing. Only fans who never boxed a day in their lives utter this mess. Floyd is undefeated,and to call him safety first is down right ignorant. If you want respect from Pactards, be a Pactard. If you want to be a fan of Floyd, just be real. Going half way makes you look like a fool when you post what you posted. HAHA! Your just a fan of Floyd Ducketts most people here are boxing fans. They appreciate the 'art' of boxing. I think that's how most fighters loses fights, they're worrying too much about giving the fans what they want(which is fair), but as a competitor, winning comes first everytime.
