...from Integrated Sports Media like the Klitschko / Sosnowski fight was. That was a damn good presentation and price. I mean, I hope it gets on HBO Boxing After Dark but it doesn't look like HBO's interested, and if it ends up on PPV you get a couple of under card fights too.
Teddy Atlas vs Manny Steward, THAT is going to be awesome. :boxing:
Povetkin is a world-class fighter and I'm always down to watch two world-class guys. This will be Wlads biggest challenge in ages, and although I definitely pick him to win, I'd love to see Teddy pull off the upset.
The only criticism I have of the Klitschkos is that their K-2 promotions undercards are generally not very good.
They could sell it as a PPV if they would have Banks come in shape and fight a familiar name, have Ustinov in with a tough opponent like Tony Thompson or free agent Cedric Boswell, and have some of the very good fighters they promote like Uzelkov, Baysangurov and Rudenko on the cards against some familiar names. There are also free agent heavyweights who appear on some of the Universum, Arena and Sauerland cards they could use as interesting opponents.
Or they could co-operate with Sauerland and put Banks and Ustinov in with a couple of fighters from Sauerlands fine stable of young HWs. Platov vs. Banks would be exciting, as would Gerber vs. Rudenko or Ustinov vs. Pulev.
Fuk, some network needs to sign you lol Great ideas. I didn't Know K2 had Uzelkov & Baysangurov. Isn't Uzelkov supposed to fight Campillo again? Platov and Pulev are supposed to finally fight too.
It seems the decision-makers at those networks just don't like the Klitschko brothers, and I think you already know why.
Wladimir/Ibragimov
Wladimir/Geezer
Wladimir/Rahman
Those were the last 3 fights that were done by HBO and they were received poorly by the American public. Tony Thompson was a fat old man who picked up the sport after he had already grown bald. Wlad fought overly cautious against IBragimov and then failed to KO a SHOT Rahman quicker than Lennox did 7 years before.
Half the audience is asleep by the time Wlad makes his move, so there is no point in showing it to American viewers.
Why doesn't Showtime, ESPN, or the many other channels in the USA pick up the bout?
If the Klitschkos lowered their fight price to the networks, do you think they would be picked up by someone?
Pay money to see who?
LMAO!!!
But you do bring up an interesting point about the two legendary trainers. My rankings as of now all-time are
1. Angelo Dundee
2. TIE: Atlas-Manny
4. Freddie Roach
If Atlas pulls the upset Id rank him as the greatest trainer of all times over Dundee. If Manny wins he will secure the number 2 spot.
Potvekin will not win.
He's OK but lacks something for me.
Only Haye has the speed and power to upset Wlad, along with Vitali who would manhandle him.
Arreola is too slow and generally so are the rest.

I'll gladly buy Klitschko/Povetkin if it's a 24.99 PPV | BoxingScene Community
