I think for the most part, he still has a handful of fights in him before he starts showing signs of age or what not. But, to be honest, if he beats Pacquiao, which to many people is the p4p #1 guy in the world or whatever, he has nothing else to prove. He can retire right then and there and everyone who reveres manny will have to take their hat off, admit he's a greater boxer and salute him. he'll probably go down as one of the most hated boxers of all time though..but it'll be cool..cuz no matter what, he'll still be better than manny
you're right about him being bigger and people bringing that up if he wins. but, well, do you think more people feel pacquiao will win? like what are the odds??? to me, i think more people want manny to win. like..he's def the good guy in this fight ya know? they wanna see him beat floyd up. and when pac lands a few hard shots or whatever, the crowd will go bananas...in the hopes that this is how the match will remain. once floyd picks the guy apart...people will have the dry salty face. sorta like when he fought ODLH. I loved it :)Floyd almost lost that fight
Manny is fast, has lots of patience, and his form is fantastic. It's going to be a close fight, I have no idea who will win.
Unfortunitely when Pacquiao Ko's Mayweather, he will never be the same. He won't retire but become a name opponent for up and coming fighters. But hopefuly he'll retires and avoids that path.
OK..so pacquiao is not the guy floyd should be fighting to shut ppl the fukk up??? really? isn't pacquiao godlike to you????
have you prayed to your savior gayweather? lol
pacquiao who moved up in weight in like 2 years and at welterweight for about a year, while floyd at welterweight for 5-6 years... hmm.. and if floyd wins, that cements floyds legacy? hardly... flomos... smh. you do realize manny moved up how many weights classes? and is fighting the biggest names and some of the best in the welterweight division where honestly, hes still kinda testing his waters in?

you put ali and pacquiao on the same echelon?
When did I say that. All I said in my sig pic is an ATG not GOAT. I put that pic coz they almost had an exact pose.
He should retire one way or the other. But if he beats Manny I think people will still give him flack and say he should have fought this guy, or that guy. Floyd will never get the respect he deserves. And it's partially his own fault. If he didn't run his mouth so much, people would probably like him more!
Yeah, and he would be making the same kind of money as Shane Mosley. Hmm, probably even less.
You do know that not all boxers can move up in weight and be just as good or even better, that was the case of Marquez. I mean his first ever WW fight was with Floyd and Floyd did not even bother to meet the agreed weight that was his own demand and came overweight during weigh in.
And about didn't Clottey did not try to win, Pac made him do that.
you put ali and pacquiao on the same echelon?
Pacquiao has only had 2 fights at welterweight (DLH and Clottey) so I dont think he has proven that much at the weight. Especially since De La Hoya was a zombie and Clottey didnt even try to win. People try and make it seem as though Marquez had no chance but history proves this as false, Duran moved up from Lightweight to beat Sugar Ray Leonard. And it's not as though Floyd was a welterweight his whole career, He came from 130. So he isnt naturally that much bigger than Marquez (Or Pacquiao) but people love to make excuses. When they came into the ring Floyd weighed 146 and Marquez weighed 142 so that's a 4lb advantage. De La Hoya had a 4lb advantage over Floyd in their fight and nobody talked about that.
Best be sure that when Mayweather wins we will hear the following excuses from Pacquiao's diehard fanboys...
"Gayweather made him come up in weight, PAC would kill him at 130 or 135 or 140 but Gayweather avoided PAC and made him fight at an unnatural weight"
"Gayweather made PAC wear the wrong gloves"
"Gayweather cherry picked a smaller man"
"PAC has weak due to having a teaspoon of blood taken out of him"
It's always excuses. But the facts speak for themselves. Mayweather completely dominated the guy who arguably beat Pacquiao twice. He won every single round, I dont care what anyone says. It would have been exactly the same had they fought at 130 or 135.

They better not use that excuse, that would be utterly pathetic.
just look at the tale of the tape, other than a measly inch of height they are the same ****ing size
I agree, People make stupid excuses like "Marquez was a featherweight" but he came in the ring at 148. Making him a welterweight on that night, The worst thing is that people say this as if Marquez would have done better at 130 or 135. Mayweather was even better at those weight divisions than he is now.
Floyd don't even wanna fight. LOL.
I know these Mayweather fanboys are either crackheads or just plain dumb. They're all way ahead with their cheering rather than discussing why Floyd’s scared to fight worthy opponents.
Marquez never fought above 135, and he climbs into the ring for his 1st fight at WW with, arguably, the best boxer in the world. While Manny proved he can fight at WW
I don't think people will use that excuse, lol

I dont think he will get full credit if he beats Pacquiao, I mean it's always an excuse when it comes to Floyd. People say "He beat up a featherweight in Marquez" so who's to say he will get the credit for beating Pacquiao who is the same size as Marquez? Im not sure, But sooner or later another hype train will come along and he will have to beat them too.
I would like to see him humiliate Cotto. The man who he supposedly "ducked" even though we know Arum never wanted the fight and was much more focused on putting Cotto in there with his own fighters. I think Floyd would enjoying beating Pacquiao and Cotto, Bob Arum's two biggest draws as of right now.
