I dont know why exactly, but just feeling strong hype if these 2 fight and they should fight in US for neutral ground...
The problem with that is this fight won't make any money in the US. It HAS to happen in the UK to be worthwhile.
What has he to gain by coming back to fight someone like Froch?
Froch is not a big name, not even in Britain, shoot he can't even get a tv deal to get his fights shown in the Uk.
So there's no major money or global or even domestic credit if he beats Froch.
I'm not a Zaggy fan but I can't blame him for not wanting to fight Froch, there is no point.

If Calzaghe comes back, it will very likely be at 175. It's been a longtime since he made 168 and the long layoff won't help. A Froch fight would be a big deal in the UK, but not so much anywhere else. Joe would most likely looking for a fight that would generate international interest.

ahaha
good one Dirk
Then he could have beat the following 3 American hype jobs

and then finally

If he would have fought Pavlik instead of Jones, and beat Pavlik, no doubt people would change their minds at least a little bit about Calzaghe. HE could have been the one to expose Pavlik, he could have been in Hopkins place. Fight Pavlik, have the fans respect for fighting a hyped up American who was a "threat" to Calzaghe at the moment...then fight an easy fight against Jones and he could have at least say I beat Hopkins, Pavlik and Jones instead of just two old Hopkins and Jones.
Calzaghe ducked Pavlik for no reason, he basically ducked an easy win over an undefeated fighter.

Makes no sense really. Only financially. It does nothing for his legacy. Froch already has a loss to an older version of Kessler. Would be ok if he fought someone like Dawson or Ward after
While I still think he'd handle Carl Froch with relative ease, there is no real need for him to come out of retirement. A Froch fight isn't really big enough to be worth it IMO. As long as he's still okay financially, he should stay retired and keep his undefeated legacy intact.
