These are the fights being discussed:
Shane Mosley vs Sergio Mora
Saul Alvarez vs Matthew Hatton
Victor Ortiz vs ????
Jurgen Brahmer vs Librado Andrade for LHW title
Vitali Tajbert vs Daniel Ponce De Leon for SFW title
Not sure how many of these fights will make it to the card (the first two are probably going to make it, but not sure about the others), but I will definitely buy it. Screw streams, this type of card is worth buying. If things were my way, I'd say the first three. Seeing Mosley, Alvarez and Ortiz on one card would be great.
Not bad but not good either. not paying money to watch Shane Mosley obliterate Sergio Mora.
Mora has about as good a shot as winning as I do.
The July 31st card with Diaz-Marquez 2 is gonna be sensational tho
Not worthy ppv cards. Not in this economy.
Not in any economy. All but Saul Alvarez and Ortiz are at the back-end of their careers, and the others i.e. Tajbert are hardly superstars.
Gotta say though Matty Hatton is always an excellent yardstick of plodding mediocrity and nothing I've seen or heard about him suggests he's lost it.
not really. Mosley-Mora would be boring as **** with shane being too old and tentative and Mora being his boring feather fisted self. Canelo-Hatton would be a one-sided demolition because hatton sucks donkey balls. I hope they put ortiz with an able guy FFS.
That's Boxing After Dark material.
not even! ssm continues to prove he is dumber than a bag of rocks.
why the fuk would u follow up a huge ppv with this bs? u could easily take on a bigger player in the divisions of 54 or 47 and cash in on 500k. ssm is stupid or a coward.
Who says you can't watch both? European fights usually occur around 6PM EST, which is three hours before American PPVs.
oh yea that's right. but still, none of those fights really hype me up.
Solid card, but not PPV worthy.
Not that it matters here in Australia where everything is pay per view... except those re-runs of 20 year-old ESPN Tuesday Night Fights fronted by Johnny Lewis and that other dude.
Not a chance. It will be a lot closer to 100K. It's not a major PPV if Mosley-Mora headlines. Especially if it competes with Juanma-Marquez for free.
But look at how much promotion and hype GBP puts into their cards. They're going to start saying stuff like Alvarez will be the next JCC in Mexico and Matthew is trying to carry his older brother's name. They'll also have this huge story behind Mosley-Mora and crap like that. I think they'll have a lot of commercials for the card too. They always seem to find a way to draw the fans in. If they got people hyped for Mayweather-Marquez then I'm sure they can get them hyped for Mosley-Mora. Maybe they can reach 200k, who knows.
Saul Alvarez and Mathew Hatton won't let it do 100k. I predict around 300k.

none of those have my interest over AA-Froch.

i think thats a good card that i would definitely watch but i dont think its PPV worthy.
But Lord knows they put out plenty of much worse PPV's than this, so this may actually be a step up.
I don't like a lot of that card. Mathew Hatton is not really much of a step up from Cotto. The Mora/Mosley fight is OK. I'm warming up to it. I'd just rather see Shane fight Berto or Williams.
I think Matt is a step up from Cotto. He drew with (and arguably beat in most people's eyes) Lovemore N'Dou. He's a decent WW. Its a good opportunity for us to see where Alvarez is right now. Perhaps after Hatton he can go after someone like Jesse Feliciano and if he wants to take a big leap forward, David Estrada.
