i got canelo in this. no matter how much roach tries to turn junior into more of a boxer, his natural instinct is to come forward, throwin that left hook. i see canelo running junior into something nasty. canelo's the much better counter puncher.

Before JCC Jr hooked up with Roach before he showed the improvements he showed last night. I had Alvarez-JCC Jr a 50/50 fight. Now I will favor JCC Jr, I don't know what Alvarez really does better. Maybe speed? Bur, if that is so not by much. I think JCC Jr wins a decision. Pretty wide decision too. Maybe even stops him cuz I doubt Alvarez has a chin like Duddy.

Just because he beat Duddy doesnt mean he comes close to beating Canelo. if jose miguel cotto a lw with a long layoff can rock canelo chavez can also. i dont know but chavez jr looked like a different fighter last night and from the last time i seen canelo figt he really didnt impress me

I wonder if we'll see Alvarez call him out now lol if this fight ever happens, it won't be anytime soon. Especially if GBP has anything to say about it. I need to see more from Canelo. Right now he just looks like your average quick guy with movement and some pop, but no defensive skills. He can't hang with any elite WWs right now. JCC Jr can hang with some elite JMWs though. If Canelo struggles with Matthew Hatton then we'll have our answer. But I think this fight would be better in like 4 or 5 years once both are known champs. GBP and Top Rank are doing great jobs building them so far. And Canelo's hair really made him stand out on May 1st. Smart move.

the chavez that fought last night stops canelo. i know duddy is a punching bag but jr was eating his punches throwing hard all night and not even breathing hard and from what i saw of alvarez even a lw like j cotto could hurt him.
