That's what they used to say about boxing. As a MMA fan, I don't even aprove of this. Like really, Gilbert Melendez really aint all that himself. I agree. His last fight with Aoki was horrendous and the most boring fight of the night, and Jake Shields was on the main event so that says a lot. If Melendez faced a real Lightweight like Penn, Florian, or Alvarez, his ugly ass face would get rearranged. Frankie Edgar would box his big ass ears off. "Boxing is boring". I would rather watch Jones-Hopkins 2 than him. I like MMA, but a "boring" boxing match is twice more exciting than a boring MMA fight.

it's boring to him because his mind is set in a different fight game, wrestling, bjj, type fighting, when it comes to boxing his skill in pugilism is weak, so he doesn't put effort or attention in boxing because he doesn't excel at it. all melendez see's in boxing is openings for take downs and kicks, of course it's boring to him, he knows not the true sweet science. Boxing can be boring sometimes, so can MMA, but MMA is gay. Not saying anything against the athelete's who compete at it, i'm sure it takes a high level of skill, but as a spectator sport, i just don't like seeing 2 guys holding each on the floor for several minutes. The only times i've actually enjoyed watching MMA is when it's 2 punchers in a stand-up fight, but for that i might as well watch boxing which IMHO contains a higher level of skill when it comes to that.
