think bout it before everyone just says manny... i mean he is good but makes a lot of mistakes like overall skill and tech who you think it is.. i like dawson
If one of the boxing legend believe that pac is top 3 atg, then who am i who is just a boxing fan who isn't as knowledgeable as him to argue. LOL
You don't argue because you agree, I'm sure there are boxing legends with less then positive opinion of Pacquiao or higher opinion of Mayweather, would you not argue then, i doubt it.
top 3 ATG...lol u dont even believe that
:poke:

lolol nope
He beat him in the ams.
I was just letting know the poster Clayton Bigsby know how silly it is to mention am fights.
yeah, it just sounds ****ing crazy to me, at what weight?
I really, really like Sergio Martinez.
I have an irrational dislike for Manny Pacquiao.
Saying Martinez is more skilled than Pacquiao is insanity.
As much as I like Martinez, he is very overrated on this board.
pac is top3 ATG and Greatest southpaw of all time: from boxing legends and historians.
pac is top 50-100 atg and not even the greatest active southpaw today: from the boxingscene posters.
LOL. LOL. LOL.
Top 10 Lefties:
1. Dawson
2. Martinez
3. Pac
4. Williams
5. Bute
6. Dirrell
7. Hasegawa
8. Alexander
9. Lopez
10. Wonjongkam
I can't believe that burner put pac above williams, bute, direll, hasegawa....... I was expecting pac to be at the bottom of your list. unbelievable...
He is smart in a boxing sense. What he does on the streets has nothing to do with his boxing IQ.
david diaz beat Judah? when did that happen?
In the ams.(yes I know...silly)
wrong.
zab judah is not smart. he's a fukking idiot. have you seen his youtube video in miami playing dice?
by the way david diaz beat zab judah before floyd.
And Berto beat Andre Dirrell.
wrong.

he's missing heart, brain, stamina, & mental focus. that counts for a lot.
Nah, he just lacks heart.
Because he doesn't have much of a heart, he appears to fade. It's not a stamina issue, it's that he lacks the desire to continue when fights get tough.(heart).
It's not really mental focus either, it's again, his heart. He starts off good because he has confidence. Then when fights get tough, his lack of heart makes him not want to even be in there anymore.
And Zab is a pretty smart guy. He analysed one fight(i forgot which), he was talking to Teddy and I was really surprised by what he was saying. Everything he said was good stuff.
i cant disagree with that my bad when my said skillset i meant technical skillset and in that respect i feel dirrell>pac, what do you think and how would you rank the southpaws in that respect?
Thats what I usually go by.
I think Volume punching is more of a style than a skill set. No one throws more punches than Paul Williams but I wouldn't say hes really what you call a skilled fighter.
I think in and out ability is foot work. What Pac does is more of a style thing. The in and out movements the bouncing up and down thats a style thing IMO. Having great footwork to me is just that having great feet.
On Pacs jab. I never thought he had a good jab. I always looked as his jab as what you call a "blinding or distracting" jab. He just puts it out there not really to land or measure but just to distract you from whats next. The left hand.
On his defense I dont think its very good at all. Just like Paul Williams defense. They both get hit at will. Even Clottey had some success landing on Pac...when he actually threw punches. His right hand seemed like it couldn't miss and Pacs face after the fight showed that. JMM landed whenever he felt like it over the course of their two battles. Larios had success. Cotto landed alot.
I think if we say being explosive is a skill set than a guy like Berto is elite in that category. Whos more explosive than him? When you look at it like that. Pac is very fast I agree with that and that is a skill set.
What Pac did to Barerra was dominate him using alot of punches and power. It wasnt like eh "out boxed" him. MAB did himself no favors by fighting Pacs fight. Look at Williams he beat the dog shit out of Winky.I still dont think it was an outboxing. Guys like Margarito kick ass without being that skilled. Hatton also comes to mind. So does Froch.
We have different classifications of skill I wouldnt say intagibles are skills if thats the case the guy I keep bringing up Williams (for a reason) must be elite "chin, heart and toughness" Paul has that...mastered..lol.
I always look at Pac as a brawler with very fast hands and good power. Like Margarito with blazing handspeed and fast feet. If I saw a fighter like that I wouldnt consider him all that skilled. I would say hes the most skilled brawler though.
To add to this.
Between these 3 fighters who is the most skilled:
Williams
Kirkland
Margarito
Just want to know people think.
Pac volume punching is a skillset, Pac in and out ability is a skillset, Pac jab is underrated, he has a solid jab, and he uses it in different ways, he uses it as a range finder and also to set up his shots, Pac defense is underrated. Not saying he is great but people act like his jab and defense is not existent, offensively he is dynamite, he is explosive. offensive it counts as skills Offensively neither Calderon, nor, Dirrell bring the offensive force that Pac brings. Intangibles IMO are also skillset, from chin to heart, to toughness. Pac has that.
Somebody mentioned JMM. Tremendous skilled fighter. I would say he is more skilled than Pac. But, Pac can't do what he did to Barrera and fought competitive against JMM without being tremendously skilled fighter. Pac skills are underrated. Overall skill set. If you just want to mention the best defensive fighters. Then go again and Pac won't make top 10. But, if you talking about overall skills Pac>Dirrell, Martinez the only guy I would put ahead of Pac is Dawson and I think Calderon and Bute would be debatable.
i cant disagree with that my bad when my said skillset i meant technical skillset and in that respect i feel dirrell>pac, what do you think and how would you rank the southpaws in that respect?
Exactly.
That's why after some thinking, I had to choose Judah. He literally has everything. Defense, offense, speed, power, punch endurance, accuracy. He's just missing a heart.
He may not win everything but looking at his skill set. If you put JMM's heart in Judah's body. We wouldn't be talking about Mayweather-Pacquiao, that's for sure.
Judah when he wants to be is just amazing.
absofukkinglutley.
but what is happening is dimwits like burner automatically think because pac is not a defensive artist he's not skilled. that any defensive fighter has "better skills" because they have better defense which is highly ignorant & far from the truth.
Stop trolling. Everybody is bringing "grown up" posts to the table. Stop the name calling and childish trolling. Stick to the subject.
The subject is not "burner".
