Yeah but what about the "upset" factor? no?....... From the other fights that keep coming up in the thread I would go with Escalante-Roman, that fight was badass!!!!:boxing:
Hell yea that fight was bad ass.You did not like the Perez Mares fight?I did not think Martinez win over Pav was an upset.I was surprised he beat him up that bad but not that he won.TBH I had him winning the Pwill fight.
It was a good fight but not a close one Martinez beat that ass.

Right thats how I saw it. Escalante/Roman is a very close 2nd for me. But you right I couldn't be mad at the outcome of Mares/Perez at all, it was a good call.
What's good Chiefy?Agreed a draw was the best outcome for that fight..Too close to have a winner.
That was a serious barn burner, great skills displayed as well with a decent outcome Draw

For me it is definately Abner vs. Yhonny. That fight had me on the edge of my seat moreso than Mikkel and Carl. Good thread lil bro, I like where your head is at. :boxing:

Martinez-Pavlik and Adamek-Arreola were pretty good scraps. Dirrel-Abraham was a damn good one too until it was cut short. Didnt catch the Mares fights everyone's talking about yet. Froch-Kessler was a piece of shit.
Hopefully it will be Klitschko-Haye or Mayweather-Pacquio.
Bolded was not a close fight at all. It was Dirrell's coming out party to make up for the Froch fight, which IMHO he could've won had he fought Froch the way he fought AA. Mares vs. Perez had alot of swing rounds that you could've scored for either fighter; very close fight with alot of ebb and flow to it. One minute Abner would conrol the round, the next minute Yhonny would walk him down and take the round back, then the control went either way the third minute. If I can recall Ademek/Arreola correctly Chris did not give as good as he got.
Roman-Escalante for me. Haven't gotten around to Perez/Mares yet.
Damn good fight Glove, I liked to forgot that one. The one on FNFs in El Paso huh? Yep that was a damn good scrap, it's right up there with Mares vs. Perez for me. :boxing:

P. Williams vs Sergio Martinez, I thought this was fight of the year material because not only was there back and forth action but it also showed how ordinary P. Williams is when faced with a fighter with strategy.
Only problem is that the fight was last year.

Marquez-Diaz II will end up taking it again.
I don't think so I think the Baby Bull is done, and will get beat bad in this next fight. But I could be wrong.
I agree. The obvious first choice is Williams-Matinez but Mares-Perez was right there with it.
Martinez vs Pwill was last year. And IMO it should have been FOTY last year even tho JMM and Juan went to war.
Rome - as I told you before my friend, Mares/Perez definately had that 'Wow' factor... One of those fights you're afraid to look away for just a second cause you know you're gonna miss something good, and the kind of fight you'd hate to be a judge cause it's so close that it's hard to decide who to give the round to. Great stuff!
I have to agree with you I had it for Mares by a point so I was not mad at the draw.TBH I would not have been mad if Perez got it great fight.
