Taylior fought Hopkins twice, Wright, Ouma, Spinks, Pavlik twice, Lacy, Froch and Abraham almost in a row.
Dude doesn't duck anyone he's just lost to Froch, Abraham and Pavlik by KO he was taking quite a bit of damage. The boxing community called for him to take some time off from his career.
taylor always did well against those type of fighters, and even if he lost he wouldnt really take a step back considering where hes already at. its basicly a free shot at the title, with no risk of getting hurt. nothing to lose, but ofcourse his health comes first.
fukk the tournament, this is a blood sport. u need to look out for your health.
and what type of fighters are you talking about exactly?
so, you're saying taylor might have ducked ward if ward was a huge puncher. But because ward isn't a huge puncher, taylor didn't duck ward?
okay. I disagree and think JTaylor was smart enough to know Ward would tax that ass, but you're entitled to your opinion
Taylor signed up for the tournament, it's stupid that he didn't stay.
I think he's more solid than Green
no thats not what im saying at all.
taylor did the right thing to drop out, simple as that. had he been set to fight a puncher u could say that influenced his decision (which is still the right decision) but ward being his next fight he had nothing to lose, theres no reason to think he dropped out bcuz of ward.

No, JT just got KO'd twice by two of the fighters in the super six he decided to step out of the tournament as he needed time off to recover and think about his future I doubt Ward played a part in his thought process. his opponent could've been anyone at 168 I doubt it would've changed his mind.
:pat:
do u even know what it means to duck someone?
yes taylor knew he was fighting ward next, but thats not why he stepped down. if he was facing a puncher u could have suspicions that influenced his decision but ward isnt a puncher, and taylor would really have everything to win and nothing to lose had he fought ward.
he stepped down for good reason, he didnt even want to step down it was his family, friends, trainer, promoter (everyone basicly) who said he should so he obliged.

Did Taylor know he was going to be fighting Ward, when he decided to quit?
No....this is wrong because Jermain Taylor Came Off 3 Losses in 4 Fights and then after that in the first stage of the super six he was handed his 4th defeat and decided to drop out and take time off from boxing so then he couldnt get seriously hurt in a way in which it could affect his career...
