Dirrell is taller and faster with a very good jab.He knows how to keep his space and move out before his opponent gets through.I think Dirrell is even faster than Ward and more elusive and athletic.Ward cant use the jab as effectively as Dirrell especially against a taller person.I used to think Ward was the next Mayweather. He might dominate but his style is different, moreover mayweather can use a jab even against a taller person something Ward can not.
The only way Ward beats Dirrell is to tie him up like yesterday,it's easier for a carmel to pass through the eye of a needle.
What do you guys think?
I predict a massive amount of hugging in Dirrell versus Ward.
Dirrell is more of a LHW. It's not gonna be easy trying to clinch/ control Dirrell. Also, I've seen Dirrell rip uppercuts on the inside.
I think dirrell lacks heart and we already know ward's gonna make it ugly so if he couldnt deal with froch roughing him up a little how's he gonna deal with that for a full 12?
This will be a good one, I know Dirrell will get to him, I've been saying since the beginning he's the best of the touney. Ward is crafty and very talented but Dirrell's movement is something else, Ward will loose.
:boxing:
I don't like either fighters style, Ward is garbage with that headbutting and punch and grab style, and Dirrell with his track meet style, but after both of their last fights I am more impressed with Dirrell actually coming to fight against Abraham than with Ward with another turd of a boxing display. Ward is a joke of a Champ and he got away with all the crap he did against Kessler because the fight was in his hometown. If the fight was on nuetral turf and with a real ref, Ward would not be able to get away with the dirty tactics he did at home. Dirrell should be able to hand Ward not only his ass but also his first loss.

I got Dirrell also, I'm open to bet.
Can't wait til the debates we have about this fight Dom...I'm really looking forward to this fight. I like both of these guys.
I am going to have to start taking bets on this bout. Ward just has the "something" where he will do whatever it takes to win even against someone who has some glaring advantages against him. I am not sold on him winning, but I believe he is the future though.

I agree with you.
Ward has yet to impress me. You see flashes of skill in between extended bouts of what are potentially dirty tactics. The headbutting against Kessler was disgraceful. I'd like to go back and count the warnings on that one. And last night the holding of the ropes and leaning on Green was absolutely ridiculous. When your body is positioned in a forward tilt, and you're on the balls of your feet, it's ****ing common sense you're going to be able to get more punches off than a guy back on his heels with 170lbs pinning his back to the ropes. It was truly pathetic.
I don't see diversity in using one questionable tactic over another. I just see a shitty fight taking place.
I think Dirrell has the movement, speed, jab, and workrate to upset this back-to-back rough-housing nonsense. Ward will have to actually fight. And if he wins that way, I'll take him seriously. Until then he's got two hometown wins with a plethora of things to complain about in his victories.
(And on a sidenote, the Roy Jones and Sugar Ray Leonard comparisons were a joke. Commentators should be embarrassed by them.)
I think Dirrell can get the 12 Round Decision absolutely! but he can't do like Green and just submit to Ward's clinching and I don't think will, he needs go back and watch the 1st fight between Roy Jones vs Hopkins and watch how every time Hopkins went for the Clinch Roy would turn him and kept his back off the ropes
but I can't see Ward winning also

you raised some good points
i have actually been more impressed with dirrell's fights in the super six than ward
he came back well from the froch loss (which he really won or at least have got a draw) and served abraham a beating until it went wrong
i agree with you dirrell is faster than ward he may be stronger aswell and he has the height advantage and is a southpaw
ward though does seem to be tougher than many thought but i still think he is untested
should be a great fight
Ward is more versitale than he is given credit for you. I actually can't wait for this fight to happen. Ward is going to show everyone again, that he is the man in the Super Six.
