Do you agree?? Ward hit green at will while getting mauled to death and the ref didn't do a damn thing. Meanwhile poor ricky got separated and warned everytime he initiated clinch and attempted to hit floyd in the clinch.
LOL but don't get me wrong floyd would have beaten hatton regardless by TKO but I just wanna know which is which. Is it legal or illegal??
I recall atleast 3 occasions VS Mayweather where Hatton didn't do much wrong and it got seperated.
Mayweather voer Hatton anyday, any time, any year, een at 84 Mayweather will beat Hatton (if he is even alive by then because of his unhealthy diet)
BUT Hatton had no chance the way Cortez was. Mayweather had decent inside game that night anyway, but Hatton had chances to hit when it came close like that.
Main bit where I ahted was when Mayweather turned around and Hatton got told off for hitting. You are not allowed to show your back FFS
someone with the name "mr blobby" would say some gay shit
It's not as gay as some of your Mayweather posts, he's a good fighter, there's no need to jump to his defence and drool over him everyday.
hatton would have gotten ko even sooner if cortez didnt break them up. floyd would have truly fukked hatton up onthe inside. hatton would have made mayweather extremely aggressive
Yep sure he would, we all saw his aggression when he was bent over the ropes with his ass in the air like a prison bitch.
Here's how it works.
When a white fighter does it it's called wrestling/hugging/club fighting.
When a black does it it's called skill/inside fighting/boxing clinic.
Aha, was gonna say the same thing.
Floyd is better at fighting inside than Hatton is. If they fought inside, Floyd would have knocked him out at exactly the same time.
How do you know this? Hatton was taking shots to get to Mayweather only for Cortez to jump in as soon as he got there. Cortez started to allow inside fighting when Hatton was already battered and tired from constantly taking shots to get inside. Cortez killed any chance Hatton had.
letting them fight inside and dirty he was still disadvantaged.....Floyd would have had that elbow in his face even more...........he got soundly beaten inside and outside. Seriously, think about the skill disparity when one eliter fighter knocks out the another "elite" fighter with a check hook stepping backwards. How often do you see other fighters employing a check effectively to curb an agressive opponent?? Not only did Mayweather do it consistently throughout, he KO'd Hatton with a highlight reel punch.
Oh Floyd handled Ricky on the inside. He took what was supposed to be Ricky's game and beat him at it. But Ricky came in with no plan B. He never got to try his plan A, and he got knocked out trying to just take Floyd out. But as to if Ricky would have gone leaping at Floyd had he been allowed to rough house and had not got the point taken away is in disupte. I personally think Floyd wins a wide UD if Ricky is allowed to fight his fight. He jumped at Floyd out of desperation and got clocked.
No doubt Hatton got jobbed in that fight. I agree Floyd would have won regardless, but had he been allowed to fight like "billygoat Ward" does in every fight he would have at least been in the fight at some point.

hatton was tko'ed----nothing more need to be argued---cortez didn't screw hatton---he broke up floyd and ricky---not just ricky----ricky lost his own fight----stop whining----

Consistency bro, doesn't exist in boxing
Cortez really f.ucked Hatton I agree but Mayweather dominated what little inside action there was allowed anyway, but still.
But we knew this, he lets Hopkins initiate 2.8 million clinches in the Calzaghe fight. He's a hometown ref. And bent as a crowbar.
Cortez is very bad, and did screw him. But Hatton has benifitted by the same type of Hometown, onesided awful refereeing , his whole career. Just ask Kostya Tzyu, whom I thought could have won his fight with Hatton, if it was'nt for that worse than Cortez Referee, who let Hatton maul and braul to no end, but as soon as Kostya started doing the same thing, and getting the advantage, he broke them. So yes he got screwd, but not as bad as Kostya, since Kostya could of actally won.
If a guy is holding you and the ref doesn't break it up, you push the guy off. If you do it a few times, the ref will stop the clinching. Allan Green didn't do this. He didn't do a damn thing. He didn't protest. He didn't back his way out of a corner. He didn't use his reach to keep Ward at bay. he didn't do a damn thing to win the fight. I have been watching boxing for more than 20 years or about the same amount of time you have been attend the local school for the mentally retarded.
I won't waste any more time debating this issue because I have a policy of never arguing with a fool.:chairshot
if a guy is holding you and the ref doesn't break it up then that's a dumbass ref in the 1st place LOL. You are not allowed to push in clinches, you can punch urself out but not push because it might accidentally injure a fighter via falling of the ring(ala Kermit the frog cintron), or falling down awkwardly.
No.....he broke them up when they held on to each other.....and it was actually Mayweather who initiated the holding alot of the time to blunt Hatton's offense. When they both fought inside cleanly Cortez allowed it. I have seen the fight many many many times. The more times you watch it the more you realise he had no bearing on the outcome. When i watched it the first time my reaction was that Cortez wasn't giving Ricky a fair shake at certain times, however after watching it for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th......time you realise he had no bearing or influence at all. He let Hatton fight inside alot........it didn't help him. He was losing inside and outside.....he was out muscled and out skilled.
There you go. why do you have to be so defensive? Altho i still disagree with some of ur points. I have to watch it again, cause it's been a while since I watched it. But cortez is still an *******.
Dumbass ur not allowed to push in boxing. damn watch some boxing. that's the ref's job to separate them u idiot.

Cortez did allow some inside fighting after hatton got battered and tired and looked finished,
This excuse is almost as bad as the bullshit post fight rhetoric in the ODLH fight that alot (and i mean alot) of retarded posters on here buy into....that he somehow stopped or "forgot" to throw the jab......:lol1:

Every action has an effect/reaction to say he had no bearing on the fight is just stupid.
the officiating made zero difference in that fight. Zero. They fought inside quite alot without Cortez breaking up the action, watch the fight again. Floyd got the better of him everytime........he used his elbows and his shoulders inside.....he beat Hatton @ his own game and it had nothing to do with Cortez.
Cortez did allow some inside fighting after hatton got battered and tired and looked finished,
stop acting like a vagina for a second man. Cortez broke them up everytime they clinched meanwhile I just saw ward pummel green while excessively holding. you must feel for ricky do you? who knows he might have made it more competitive?:usa:
