I recall atleast 3 occasions VS Mayweather where Hatton didn't do much wrong and it got seperated. Mayweather voer Hatton anyday, any time, any year, een at 84 Mayweather will beat Hatton (if he is even alive by then because of his unhealthy diet) BUT Hatton had no chance the way Cortez was. Mayweather had decent inside game that night anyway, but Hatton had chances to hit when it came close like that. Hatton was taking shots to get to Mayweather only for Cortez to jump in as soon as he got there. Cortez started to allow inside fighting when Hatton was already battered and tired from constantly taking shots to get inside. Cortez killed any chance Hatton had.

Cortez really f.ucked Hatton I agree but Mayweather dominated what little inside action there was allowed anyway, but still. But we knew this, he lets Hopkins initiate 2.8 million clinches in the Calzaghe fight. He's a hometown ref. And bent as a crowbar. Cortez is very bad, and did screw him. If a guy is holding you and the ref doesn't break it up, you push the guy off. If you do it a few times, the ref will stop the clinching. Allan Green didn't do this. He didn't do a damn thing.
