Here's why.
An old 34 year old Hoya , a guy 6-8 years PAST his prime fought a prime Mayweather right?
De La Hoya came out and lost a SD. Floyds dad even thought Floyd lost.
Floyd does do well against guys with great combos and lots of them. And oscar was the best at letting go 6-8 punch combos.
If an old hoya almost beat him, imagine what a prime hoya would have done!!
delahoja bearly beat Steve Forbes, had his face all swollen after the fight. And got the biggest beating from the smallest fighter in the history of boxing! And you claim Floyd would lose to such an ordinary class "B" fighter? Either your a cheerleader or you know nothing about boxing!!! P.S. Don't feel bad, your not alone!!!!!!
lmfao barely beat him? GTFO
Oscar looked good in the fight. I dont know nothing about boxing? GTFO BITCH
fkn goof
Maybe but they always say oscar never one his big fights(but i say he did beat trinidad and mosley# 2) so he would probably find a way to lose this one to

Yes he would have beat him. Castillo did, so why not DLH? But i didnt like the way DLH kissed PBFs butt trying to make out he thought he was the best. Just to make himself look better historically.
I think I would still favor Floyd to win a against a prime Oscar. Oscar's prime was at 135-147, if he didn't have such a big size advantage due to fighting at 154 I don't think he would have been very competitive with Mayweather.
did you watch the fight??
THAT FIGHT WASNT EVEN CLOSE.....
to a typical fkn flomo it wasnt
all your looking at is floyd floyd floyd. u dont know shit about boxing

the thing is every floyd stan fkn thinks floyd is this UNBEATABLE god and cuz he's undefeated he is the greatest of all time ect
floyd never fought a prime cotto williams or prime mosley .... why you think that is?
Oscar was known for losing to elite fighters. Yet somehow he would beat the best fighter hed ever face. Gotcha.
fkn idiot
know why oscar lost to the best fighters ...
cuz he FOUGHT the BEST ... he didnt chicken run like a bitch from the Tornado, Cotto, Williams when they all in their prime.
Get your facts straight. and im putting you on ignore bitch.
You got me on ignore .... so im gonna ignore you bitch
Prime Mosley and Oscar beats Pacquiao.

Kind of double talk here. Either Oscar can or can't beat elite fighters.
According to a video that Floyd fans like to point out...... that ALL FLOYD FANS AGREE, Roach said Manny took on Oscar because he saw against Floyd that Oscar couldn't pull the trigger anymore.
So if a guy who couldn't pull the trigger received a split decision then a prime Oscar against Floyd would have been an Oscar victory.....
Every weight class Oscar fought in He would lose to Floyd.
130- Floyd wins.
135- Floyd wins.
140- Floyd wins.
147- Floyd wins.
154- Floyd wins.
160-Floyd wins.
Just that I feel there is always an excuse for every weakness Pacquiao has shown. What about his performance against Jorge Solis? Did you see how much of a difference Solis's footwork made? This is why Arum didn't want to put Pacquiao in there against Joan Guzman, because he knew Guzman didn't fall under the typical Pacquiao opponent. Neither did Zahir Raheem. We can all sit here and say "Oh, those weren't quality opponents" but fact is, they presented a style Pacquiao hasn't seen.
This is mainly why I so badly wanted to see Guzman vs. Pacquiao at 130, sadly that didn't happen because apparently, Bob Arum: "No one want's to see Guzman run around the ring". Yes, but wasn't it funny how Arum opt to face Soto, the man Guzman badly outclassed? So in short, Oscar had the movement to frustrate Pacquiao.
I can see your point of view on this and I agree with some of your points here. Manny is one of my favorite fighters so maybe it's my own biased opinion that has me picking this version of Manny over a prime Oscar.
DLH at 147 and in his prime, had the ability, skill, and powerful jab to beat both Pac & May. I'm not saying he would, but he had the tools and would have done much better against both.
I agree and I feel they both would be close fights. No blow outs or stoppages in either fight. I have both Floyd and Manny wining 7-5 type decisions over Oscar.
By the way, Jros, I confronted you many times on "Oscar's pitty pat punches". And again, I'm telling you those aren't pitty pat punches. It may have looked that way against the very durable Mosley, but nonethless, those are hard combinations. I've seen so many times where Oscar's 6-7 punch combination are mostly blocked, but there's that one shot out of that combination that does serious damage. It's no different from Pacquiao.

Yea I can tell...
To say that Oscar defense is better than a prime JMM is not really watching JMM in his prime. Or just overrated the hell out of Oscar. At best their defense is the same.
And again I've seen enough of Marquez. Where I'm lacking in, is the way way lower weight divisions. That I haven't seen enough of, maybe because I'm lazy or don't know where to start, I don't know. By the way, I'm no longer a fan of Oscar. But in his prime I enjoyed watching him. I was very very young at the time, but shit I have a really good memory. The illegal cable box did us all good :)
honestly bro, and I don't mean any disrespect by this because I like you as a poster, but when someone is constantly running and refusing to fight that will frustrate any fighter. Now if Cotto was using footwork and movement to create angles and boxing on his toes, then I could see this argument. The fact is Cotto was in survival mode and just trying to make it to the bell. Manny was taunting Miguel's bitch @ss survival tatics and that had nothing to do with Manny's inability to cut off the ring.
What went through my head was it was like Manny saying "Come on your a proud warrior/professional boxer, why are you embarrassing yourself in front of millions of people like this?"

just like he lost to steroid mosley? he wait he got robbed...
dlh version that fought mosley would of beaten floyd, without a doubt, stop your nuthugging... floyd is only undefeated because he has never fought the same level of opposition oscar did... cant say the same shit about floyd can you? NOPE.
What are you on about? Oscar is not good enough to beat Mayweather at any weight. Floyd would beat him at every weight class Oscar fought at INCLUDING 160.
